Advantages of Bitcoin over Euro

The details of the Cyprus Eurozone bailout mean this is the first time bank depositors have been called upon to rescue a currency at their expense.

A proportion of deposits beyond $100,00 will be confiscated to help pay for the bailout.

This may set a precedent as a method for dealing with future Eurozone crises.

This has me thinking that this is where Bitcoin has a big advantage. Bitcoin is out of the way of the mainstream banking system and can't be touched by bankers or politicians.

At least as things stand at present.
