yeah, scams and scammers is a really big threat for the bitcoins name, i hope that in the future there will be less of such people though i doubt that it will change

Those tips of suggestion you gave was a good idea and advice to each every member here in the community of Bitcoin. But The problem is some of the member here is continuing doing investing in cloudmining even they know it is too risky for the sake of earnings because of greedyness.

As long as there will be possible to scam, cheat or make money by fooling others then scam artists will gonna do exactly that.
If bitcoin wasn't the biggest cryptocurrency then we would have Litecoin or Doge scams.

Success of bitcoin scam projects is caused either by people who are totally gullible and will do anything to earn more money.
That is why we have so many Ponzi with guaranteed profit, bitcoin doublers or other bullshit pseudo investment projects.

Another category is however lack of security (or maybe negligence or incompetence of staff) of some big bitcoin businesses Mt.Gox or Bitfinex are core examples.
You can't do really do anything about it.

I agreed with you pal, As I observed too many of the successfull in here I think is the people who scammed other's. Also majority of the scammer was started in the altcoins. They saw many of the community there was a gullible people, but I'm not  saying all just want to make it clear, No offense.

To clear bitcoin name it cant be done by 1 person, it need cooperation from all user, we can start by using bitcoin for a good deeds like charity and teach people how to use bitcoin in honest and proper way, build a community to give a better knowledge about bitcoin, so they dont use it for bad purpose

This is totally good advice and good idea for the community, And it really should be happen. teach them so well about how they're gonna use bitcoin in a proper way procedures. The people itself must be no.1 open minded, Because if he/she is not like that everything  will just turn into waste.

Yes name change will not give a good name to bitcoin I think bitcoin need to centralised and It should be accepted through government as well and we need more adoption to secure the bitcoin with huge number of users...

Hahaha but I think the government will directly making a domination for bitcoin in my minds if bitcoin is become centralized and for some parties will easy for controlling bitcoin. but change bitcoin will not give any effect for their experience in their users or another person.

haha, it is mostly about the dream about the bitcoin price and moon landing.
sadly there are many people with this dream. they hold a very small amount of bitcoin and many of them even are holding amounts less than 0.1BTC and dream about a 1,000,000,000,.... USD price day and night and see themselves becoming a millionaire by holding that tiny amount forever. [these people are those who panic and sell when price goes from 600 to 590]

Even you give bitcoin a new name it wont be effective or  even change a thing at all no matter what you do. Bitcoin is  developed the way it is  and  there are disavantages and advantages  of it. Bitcoin would gain  a bad reputation on how the users use it , if we change that or reverse those things maybe its possible.

For the people who did not care to read, the OP does not want to change the name, but rather the bad reputation. Some people refer to that, as it's name. The only thing we can do to change it's reputation, is for us to counter the bad reputation by doing more positive things than bad things.

We should focus on projects based on Bitcoin technology to help with poverty elimination and education on a global scale. Make charity funding easier, and create more jobs with new Fintech innovation based on Bitcoin. ^smile^

  I know many of us here are not included or affiliated to any crime online which involves bitcoin. but we have to stand for this currency that has helped many of us achieve most of our dream OR GOAL

Many scammers and fraudsters accept payment through bitcoin and it is giving bitcoin a bad name.
So-many country law enforcement agency are targeting bitcoin and looking for any slightest opportunity to bring down this great currency down, many of them clam that the are investing on the Blockchan technology why at the back the are trying different ways to bring down this currency BTC

I remember the time when law enforcement agency arrest people that are involved in Bitcoin or those using it (but now the have been slight changes in some country but not all)

So who has an idea of how we can Give bitcoin a good name?
What can we do to help this currency?

Have you tried to add some bitcoin fan page in facebook and twitter and some other groups? They are there. Scammers and more illegal stuffs. So how can we stop them? I dont really know too. Even if you give some advice to those who want to invest it or make a bad reputation to that page or group they will still come back just changing the name a little bit. I dont know how can this be stopped and I dont want bitcoin to be controlled also. There is this kind of conflict that is happening in me. This things can be stopped through control but that can never be done.

I don't remember anyone being arrested for just using or accepting bitcoins, some people and members here (BurtW) have been arrested for trading bitcoins and as such have had a good amount of coins stolen off them by the government but they way you say it sounds like the government agencies were rounding people up involved with bitcoin and that has never happened that i am aware of.

It is important to stop the fraud , does not support such kind of site - sistu sperti HYIP , Ponzi , cloud mining and others . as already mentioned
bitcoin above should come with langah security measures by adopting new technologies in the website . and use bitcoin play such an important rule
using bitcoin to good causes such as helping the poor , educational or ethical way to buy goods .

i dont think so that the name of boitcoin will be change i am not in favour of changing its name, i think there is nothing wrong in the name of bitcoin and it really suit it, therefore i will never vote for changing its name.

I think his statement is not enough. law enforcement agency arrested those people who engage illegal things that their payment is thru bitcoin. I dont remember any country that arresting people who is using bitcoin but instead it is illegal to them and prohibited to use it or something they block it.
