Is it just me or has the price not updated at all for like an hour?

http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/mtgoxUSD_trades.html shows '-' volume and such for 15min and 1hr.
http://mtgoxlive.com/orders has just 1 'bump' in the price in the past 73 minutes

What's going on??

Same issue as earlier when there was "too much trading" going on.

"Another trade is still in progress, please retry in a few seconds"

Checked multiple forums outside of the newbie section and at quick glance didn't see any threads/topics about it. Weird.

Seems tradehill is working though and a short while had a trade as low as $14? (USD)

It actually seems that the bid and ask spread are far enough apart that there's a bit of a mexican standoff happening. Everyone is a bit nervous it seems.

I'm not getting my expected entertainment today watching the volatility though :-(

Once MtGox is back to all systems go do you think there will be a hard fast move in either direction? As in quickly go from $20 to either $15 or $25 in a matter of say 15-30 min?

Not a good time for broke, it helps the price crash.

Some seem to think the market is being manipulated.

I'm unable to make any orders on the site. I get the message "Another trade is still in progress, please retry in a few seconds". I've been getting this for a little bit.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the trading re-opens.
Perhaps we will see some decline in BTCs value against USD, as people nervously sells as soon as they have the possibility.

I sold all my btc. To take advantage of the $2 spread and make a few bucks. IMMEDIATELY therafter trading ceased. I am so glad, I think the same thing will happen again that happened during the last outage. BTC value takes an immediate tumble as all open bids are bought out. Then we see a rebound. The bid market is not very deep this weekend. Lots of profit taking and no new deposits till monday. I am predicting a checkmark to $6 and rebound to 26. then slowing until the next difficulty raise on wed or thursday.

The http server is up and account information, which I expect will come from the database, is accurate. The volume value is changing. Seems like some logical deadlock condition is stopping trading.

It looks like the database might be deadlocked. It would make sense with the insane amount of trading that happened in the last 48 hours. Its the middle of the night in Japan, I am sure Mark will fix it in a few hours Smiley.

I think the market will initially tumble on monday and then rally back very strong in the afternoon.

I drink it up!

The Pause on GOX appears to have pushed the tradehill values down to 15 or so, but they are still tumbling. The crash from this will happen way sooner than monday, unless it takes until monday to resolve the issue (monday US not japan)

And I don't see everyone moving to tradehill en-masse. There is simply too much money in GOX. If the volume represents cash reserves gox has nearly 50mil in deposits. Thats not going to move to tradehill in less than a month. (And i doubt ever unless tradehill adds a margin and options market first)

I feel like we're in the "gold rush" stages of this project. Tons of people looking to make a quick buck, and many of them have no problem manipulating the system to do so.

Yup seems to be back up and running now. Dropped to about $19 but back over $20. So no big move either way in the early going here...
