No, the wallet has no issues but the mining too slow.
It's just I believe masternode are strictly useless and,
discourage mass adoption, since others mine so many.

I haven't followed neos development lately but I remember that when I got some at 20k says I thought I had a bargain I would never see again. But now that number looks so distant. What is happening with this coin? Lots of old coins have been hit hard and I think it's the test of time already sentencing these old projects. I hope this coin recovers.

We've been restructuring and we're in the process of changing quite a bit around.  The team has grown, we're able to self-fund and over the past month we've posted quite a bit.  I would head over to reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/NeosCoin/) if you haven't already and you can maybe get familiar with what has been going on.  We're mainly on  Telegram, Discord, or reddit if you need to get in touch with anyone on the team.  We're not going anywhere, we haven't even barely started on what we're working on putting together here.

Right now the project is in a holding pattern, The Dev team has sacrificed a lot of their own resources to move this project along all without hype or shady tactics. It is hard right now to implement some of the proposed features with the crypto economy the way it is right now. This whole thing has been funded solely on the shoulders of the devs, and so many are eager to complain about the progress of the project, but never offer to help with anything.
