Ask to be delisted from Poloniex before you regret.
The DDoS are all false, he is preparing a mass scam.
He tries to say you lost your coins, and retire with minimum 10 MILLION $'S:

Poloniex was giving me a lot of trouble lately.

I moved all of my coins to Bittrex.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Hey mates. I thought now that NEOS is at a decent height, i can ask for some advice. I had a old laptop that had +14K neos on it, which is now around 2.7K NEOS. I had formatted it not realising that the update meant the wallet.dat file is stored in program files instead of appdata, so i backed up the wrong wallet.dat file. Since its format last year, i have barely touched it. I have tried many many recovery programs but it couldnt get at it so i thought to wait until the price makes it worth getting a professional recovery people to do it in the lab.

Any advice on how to do this or what i should seek in recovering it?

Coinmarketcap always indicates the wrong bitcointalk thread.

It would be nice to change it. Wink

Where is the development? Some news would do good.

I have confidence in the project, the team and the community, but do not forget the bitcointalk thread.

Keep working hard and make the Neoscoin even more interesting!

Good luck!

Youre right, most of the activity is on slack / IRC. The bitcointalk thread for sure should be changed on coinmarketcap and also we should indicate on the first thread that there is a new one.

Can someone help me please? I have neos wallet.dat from before the changeover and I am getting an error upon loading after replacing wallet.dat from newly created neos wallet.

I'm having the same issue.  Tried downloading the old wallet to dump the keys and it didn't like that either.

At least I am not the only one. Did you have any luck here?

I did PM twoturtles/syntaks and he responded on this past Friday which was helpful but I have hit another snag that I have messaged him about also on Friday, just waiting on response...

Here was first response:
Quote
Good morning,

     What you're going to need to do first is download the original wallet which can be found here: https://github.com/neoscoin/neos-classic/releases/download/1.2.1.1/neoscoin-qt-v1.2.1.1-bdb4.8-win32.zip  Extract that, and then put your old wallet.dat in the data directory.  Run the client, you will see 0 nodes which is fine.  Then go to the console in the wallet and you can dump your keys or your entire wallet from there using (one key only): dumpprivkey <neos address> or (entire wallet including change addresses): dumpwallet my_neos_wallet.txt.  Then rename that data directory to old.neos and make room for the new wallet.  Once it's there, go over to the help console again and type: importprivkey <private key from earlier>, or importwallet my_neos_wallet.txt.  Please let me know if you have any questions or need any help.

     Best regards,

syntaks

I managed to download the old client and replaced wallet which worked and shows balance. However, I am getting an error when I try to unlock the wallet through the console so that afterwards I can dump the private keys.

Command:
Code:
walletpassphrase *********** 9999999

Error output:
Code:
Error: RPC server was not started, use server=1 to change this. (code -18)

I have set up a neos.conf file with server=1 as well as creating a neos.bat file to direct to the noes.conf file upon loading but still no luck.

Any help is appreciated.

The logo and the link of the bitcointalk thread have been changed!

Really good news!

This project deserves more visibility and recognition.

Give us regular news on bitcointalk. I know you are working very hard for this beautiful project, and you give regular updates on the slack.

But some investors only come on bitcointalk.

Thanks again Syntacks for these changes!

Would you please paste your entire config here aside from the user/pass?  Also, are you running the headless client or the GUI with the help console?

Very good news!

In any case, for those who have configured a masternode, they should not have any regrets I think (like me) .. Wink

I am impatient, and I wish you good courage for the finalization!

Thanks for the response. I am accessing the console via the qt client. Below is my conf file data:

Code:
listen=1
server=1
rpctimeout=30
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
rpcport=19710
port=19717
daemon=1
gen=0
algo=scrypt

Clear this config file please, it's unnecessary.  Neos for example, was never scrypt.  You can unlock the wallet from the Qt and dump the keys via the console.  If you still have issues with this, I'd be more than happy to teamviewer in and help if you'd like.

Ok, no problem. I only added the conf file to try to resolve the "rpc server was not started" error. Any further assistance is greatly appreciated!
