Hi all, before i get started i just want to say that yes i know its stupid to mine on nvidia cards but its what i have and i just wanna have some fun. So i set everything to low and temps and all are fine. the only thing is my GPU core load is constantly at 99%. Is that bad for it? The GPU temp stabalizes at 50C.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Of course I should warn you that it is a waste of resources to mine with something that costs more electricity than it gets you as coins, but of course the 'fun factor' is something only you can decide  Wink.
I don't think this is bad for the card as long as the temperature is kept stable, but then again I am not a pro on computer hardware.

50 C is not really a whole lot of heat. My GPU sits at 75 degrees C in cgminer 24x7 and I have not had any problems with it. If you want your GPU to last 10 years you probably don't want to run at 100% load, but it should be totally fine for years until it becomes obsolete.

Thanks guys. Yeah i guess 50C isnt bad. It runs around 60C when i play games(skyrim/cs:go at high). My only concern was the core load, but thats also 99% while gaming anyways.  And i get the point about elec and all but i keep my laptop on most of the time anyways.. probably off 10 hours a week.. Yay technology!! Smiley
Thanks again!

if you are going to solo mine, at least use a AMD card. Otherwise, mine LTC may give you more fun.
