Immediately after installing Bitcoin, it asks me to run it, and it opens then.  But when I minimize it, the program closes, and won't open again.  What is happening?

Look at the hidden icons on the right side of the taskbar.

Is it minimizing to the bottom right tray?
If you don't like that option, go to Settings in Bitcoin and uncheck minimize to tray instead of the taskbar
