Was just wondering what is currently the BEST/Most profitable CPU coin to mine. I have 6 GPU rigs and I could use their CPU's to mine something too Smiley (Some of them are celerons, some are i7s)

Let me know your thoughts.. If there is any source/website that shows the best CPU coin to mine (Something like whattomine.com), please let me know.

Thanks

Thank you! With one 8core i7 processor, the profit is around $2/mo

Aren't there any more profitable coins to CPU mine? I am sure there are ones that would make more than $2/mo profit from an i7

maybe you can try to mining XMR. there are a software from minergate that give you a way to mining with your CPU. and beside that, the software is support for cryptonight coins like BTC, LTC, BCN, XDN, ETH, XMR, MCN, etc. i have this experience in about few couple months ago and i've got a good result when i was mining with their software. but i mining with vps which is needed to make our personal computer is turn on.

Mining with miner gate can be fun for a newbie, but it cannot be considered profitable

The base of Magi mining isn't to the rush to the hashrate, or the "rat race" how they call it, but leaving your CPU at low stress running everytime you're on your computer, such as 10%.

Monero's value, which is skyrocketing, is still expected to rise. IMHO it is still very undervalued. Here's the XMR mining thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=653467.0

Comparison of Privacy-Centric Coins: https://moneroforcash.com/monero-vs-dash-vs-zcash-vs-bitcoinmixers.php also includes Verge and Pivx

None. Due to the fact that there are huge botnets, nobody with a single CPU can profit. Just think about huge power without any electricity cost.

There will be always someone who develops a GPU miner for any coin and GPU mining is always going to be more profitable.
It's still more-less OK to CPU-mine cryptonotes (Monero and clones) IMHO.

Late to this thread, but thats not true for Gridcoin, because the work are real scientific research problems, general purpose CPUs will always be needed.  Though some problems can be CPU accellerated they always need a CPU co-processor.
