I Saw this notice a couple of nights ago:
On 9/5/2016, the following markets will be delisted: ABY, ADN, BITUSD, CNMT, DAO, DSH, FIBRE, FLT, GAP, GRS, HYP, IFC, LQD, MCN, MINT, MMC, MNTA, PIGGY, PTS, SILK, SWARM, WDC, XC, XCR, XPB, XUSD, YACC.
What will happened with those coins? Some are being traded in other exchanges while many of those are only traded in poloniex, so are they getting delisted because they are easy target for pump and dump or because pretty much they are dead? I mean one leads to the other one, usually when they are dead they pump it with no reason and people fall in the trap like FIBRE SWARM and MCN lately.

coins are delisted from exchanges only because they are dead coins (i don't know about these coins on case by case basis) but this is the general rule that if their trade volume drops below a certain number in a period of time like 1 week the exchanger will remove them because it is not profitable for them to dedicate their server resources to a dead coin which is not generating them any profit.

there is only two reasons when an exchange service removes altcoins from their list
1) their trade volume is low (it is less than 0.01BTC in one week on bittrex IIRC)
2) the coin is a scam, with bad blockchain, fake transactions, fake coins, and many other things that makes it dangerous to list on the exchange.

Quote
What will happened with those coins?

most of them continue to be traded on other smaller exchanges until they die when nobody is even interested enough to generate that small volume either.

Quote
are they getting delisted because they are easy target for pump and dump?

exchanges LOVE pump and dumps because in each pump and dump period the trade volume is 10+ times more than regular times so more volume more fees aka more earning for the site owner.

you can not pump a dead coin unless you are willing to spend a lot of your own money on it. and the developers have gotten their money out of the previous pumps and now they have also left it behind and moved on to newer projects with fresh pumps and more money.

your not experience in trading in poloniex , if i see your title thread
altcoin removed from poloniex only coin in volume transaction is very low, under low requirement standard coin poloniex

poloniex not removed altcoin if volume transaction high is standard poloniex
same with c-cex, standard transaction in c-cex one bitcoin every week, if volume transaction under one bitcoin every week dilisted and remove from c-cex
or coin is dead

The future for these coins depends on the coin, it could be that the trading volume is too low for Poloniex to support it, perhaps the dev/community has abandoned the coin so it is no longer active, or it could be an obvious scam.

You will probably find these coins on other smaller exchanges such as Yobit.

That is a dead coin, because I think no one is wanna using it and their development is retired from there, and why a poloniex is delisted the dead coins?because poloniex have a minimum requirement like volume for the coin in their trading site must be into some amount, and the coins are can't filling their requirement will getting removed from their site.

If that happens, im sure many exchange sites like poliniex will be created. Exchange sites is the life of all the people traders. Without it, trading should be dead by now. Im sure they will make way to make a trade. But if there are no way  make a trade, im sure every crypto will useless.

When this coins get delisted you will not be able to deposit or withdraw those coins so you can either sell them for bitcoin or withdraw them and put them on other exchanger where those coins are listed before they disable it. Atleast poloniex give notification before they remove, so you can act before they remove.

So it mean also that the coin who are in delisting will not be valuable anymore since in that state it can be could dead, no trades will be happening for that and possible those coin will be vanish on the other exchangers to since that coin cannot generate some profits anymore, so if you are holder of any coin listed on that its better for you to sell it so you can still accumulate even little money from that coins.

delisted means they are not is use and no one is doing trading on those coins, it is best to keep coins are values ,  large volume , and regular trading. Some coins really worth of value and has large volumes , probably the mentioned by you not in use further so polonix site is delisting those and also there is chance of hacking with unwanted coins etc.

I think all of them are dead and about the future for all of them depend on the developer of coins, if there are any innovation by the developer maybe they will live again. And for today the developer must buy their coins if wanna stay on markets.

They need to find other exchange to trade with,if they delisted already in polenex  or pump there own coin so the volume will increase and other trader will see it. Delisted in exchange is good way to make it safe to us to trade in altcoin if the coin delisted without doing anything by the dev it's much more good than other investors will be the victim again in that coin.

Usually the devs or bag holders keep some reasonable volume to avoid delisting.
If that doesn't happen, if the coin was not already on smaller exchanges, the chance is small that it'll go there. Some criteria have to be met and ... keeping the reasonable volumes on polo is easier to reach and it failed.

Pretty much what I thought, they are worthless now haha

Yep. No dev team, no community, no use.

The only chance of those coins can be take over and maybe re-branding.

That type of coins either exists on other exchanges or they finish crypto existing. Nowadays everyone can make own altcoin and enter in the altcoinmarket, and of course there are a lot of many altcoins.  Wink

as much as i know, poloniex removes them because they are dead, so no point to keep them, and even if they aren't dead, i am sure that other exchanges still have them

Everyone wants to blame the coins, but the fact is when the coin communities request info from Poloniex,
none of them receive an answer like your trading volume was too low.
And almost all had a 24 hour trading volume in the $Thousands.  Tongue

Maybe Poloniex is on the verge of financial collapse and they are Cashing out of markets that they themselves have been pumping.

Here is the 24 hours trading volume on only Poloniex , before the sell offs started , decide for yourself.
ABY   $4,359
AND   Unknown
BITUSD   $2,264
CNMT   $3,817
DAO   $14,079
DSH   $271

GAP   $10,194
GRS   $3,792
HYP   $7,345
IFC   $0
LQD   $3,248
MCN   $6,634
MINT   $8,913
MMC   $4,618
MNTA   $412

I am surprised by the volumes, I expected something about 10x smaller.

I can't speak for other coins, but for FIBRE one possible reason is that there can pass entire days with no new blocks at all. And when it becomes usual to have transactions stuck for days or weeks..... Unfortunately for that coin, not long ago Bittrex also delisted it...
