Well, in most of the countries there is not a single merchant who accept bitcoin so there is absolute no expenditure (and movement) of bitcoin so this is kind of great opportunity of saving for the future but still I would advice everyone to spend at least 10% of your savings because it ultimately helps in the growth of bitcoin network. There are some sites which provides bitcoin to mobile, dth top up services and for other needs too.

sure is newb in here

all through btc history btc was worthless to newbs who had none.

Despite that people took the effort and cost to learn an aquire some.

$1 for 1400 BTC was about the first listing price.

Yeah. Think about that.

BTC suck is all value and sub-optimal behavior of central banks and offers a surety of money supply and access independent of central actors.

When you appreciate that you will see it vaule is going up a few orders of magnitude yet

For now, i never used my bitcoin since i don't enough a big amount of it. But if ever i've given the chance to have a large amount of bitcoin well simply, i will buy goods that can help my stomach starving, buying things that can make me happy and also i will invest it to gain more profits as well as paying my bills online.

You can't use it in everyday life mostly and this is obvious. Nevertheless, you can invest btc in casinos or other stuff, earn it and just keep as a property or do trading. I think trading is one of the most active things you can do. Just take a small amount of btc and buy altcoins. Then analyze which cryptocurrencies are very promising and just trade.

Most of the available options for using Bitcoins are for online purchases. An example is the possibility of buying games in the steam service. So far there are just a few physical stores that accept Bitcoin, at least in most countries.
Other use cases for Bitcoin are investments and trading, which are some of the options I use most frequently.

As long as bitcoin has a value against real money it's always useful and alive. There aren't much people accepting bitcoin as compared to real currency but still there's so much you can do with your bitcoin. You can sell them and earn money. You can pay so many bitcoin lovers in bitcoin and get your online tasks done by them etc etc.

This thread was opened during the lean months of bitcoin, where the price was ranging between $550 and $600. If the TS just held what he had from that time, he surely would have made a lot of profits, basing from the current price. If one has the patience to just hold and stay the course, it is sure to give a good amount of returns.

Besides using it as a currency it seems like its impossible to make money off of bitcoins unless you already have some serious cash , mining bitcoins is long done nd over with nd its seems like trading/exchange doesnt give you much of a profit , so im just wonding as someone just now arriving to this dead party whats there to do with bitcoin ?

Holding & waiting till the price raise over the years is probably the best option, of course, there are some other possibilities like opening a faucet etc... but It requires some investment.

I prefer to recommend you to save and wait until the price goes up as I saw your rank is still newbie so you need to learn more about bitcoin.

and open a new business is a good idea also. you can sell things for bitcoins. many people do that here. you can see that on Goods section in this forum.

I seriously doubt that OP would have made more money and I totally dissagree that this thread was made during 'the lean months of Bitcoin'.
If OP didn't have enough money to fully get into Bitcoin a few months ago, he also wouldn't have now.

I understand that some people see the value of 600 or 700 dollars for one Bitcoin and think that it's just too expensive to get into or make money with it. Which is what the original post was all about, title is actually a bit misleading.

Considering Bitcoins as a real money, now a days, you can now enjoy the benefits of having many bitcoins in your wallet. As its price increasing, you are lucky if you have many bitcoins, you can use bitcoins now as payment for utility bills, and its more convenient to use bitcoins as an alternative payment method because payment can be done online and you don't need to go outside to pay for your bills. You can also use bitcoins for investment and to pay your friends using bitcoins, or you can cash it out to buy stuffs that you want to buy.

Start trading with bitcoin and you will see your money growth in few fold within 2 3 years. Also you can  try gambling if you could take risk. If you know any trusted investment company you can invest in that company. But maximum investment sites are scam and mostly meant for money laundering. Best is to use bitcoin for buying online goods with ease unlike banking system.
I agree trading is good for grow our money.  Trading bitcoin is different with trading forex,  that mean no margin call or pip. There is only two condition that will happen,  gain profit or suffer a financial lost. Do not be greedy,  we have to sell when the price rise although we only get litle profit,  we have to be satisfied with it. country which only have a few minner will usualy have positif market. So some of local market price will follow international market price if in significant difference.  That is my oppinion.

All the possible things you could with fiat are things you can do with bitcoin, you can open a business, invest with it, trade it, holding it and wait for a price increase, buy and offer services or products, etc.

I'm still open to other types of earning bitcoins. I don't know yet what's the benefit of faucets, but i think it's not that bad. But now I'm still trading so I could earn a profit even a little. It's just a matter of hoarding bitcoins as much.

Early adopters have profited the most, that is for sure. But that doesn't mean there are no chances for good profit know. If you don't have funds to trade and invest, which is the most profitable, you can also hold your Bitcoins, carefuly watch the market and react when the price is right. Or you can invest small amunts. Profit will not be big, but you'll earn some.

Well you are right you need some serious cash for Bitcoins, but then again with efforts over a period of time you can make cash using Bitcoin. I would suggest you to park say 5_10% of funds in Bitcoins. Two earn Bitcoins and convert it into cash. Three earn them and spend them for. Products like I am planning to earn for fitbit charge hr 2 and snapchat glasses. So find what you want. Three you could even do charity and make someones day. Even open a startup if you have enough. The possibilities are endless it's only your mind you need to convince

There are million of things to do with Bitcoin, its like asking what are the things to do with money. Bitcoin is money which can be converted to any FIAT ( at least from here) then convert it and do whatever you wish to do with money with it. Buy house, get a car, go for that vacation. You can even store it although that could be risky but its possible.

Bitcoin is being famous as safe way to store wealth in economic cirsis just like saving wealth in gold/silver before. Bitcoin price volatility make it profitable for traders. Best is to buy and sell, and make a profit over it. Or keep on stocking it up. Or. Try and collect it and make a investment out of it. Or start a btc business out of it. Options are unlimited, but the correct one depends on what your wish is. Not what others want to tell you. Be smart, and wise.

There's no much ways to earn bitcoin, isn't easy to find a job that pays you in bitcoin, freelancer or not.
And if you want to start a service like selling goods, you need some capital to start so isn't that easy too.

Options like mining are already dead and trade requires a lot of skill and knowledge.
