Oh well that's the problem i think 70% of people are facing including me. I have lost more than 250$ in gambling and withdrew 0$ till now and i still keep investing but i don't lose much now. I would recommend you to be on sports betting sites as there are many sites which provide you tips on which team to vote or which are the better odds to vote on. Difficult to control doesn't mean you can't control it. You can only control your emotions and you if you play a little relaxed. That's a good thinking and realization. Avoid gambling is a true man's decision if you really think that you will just lose money when you gamble. I would just recommend people to avoid gambling at all cost if you are gambling money you can't afford to lose. Just gamble small, only money you think will entertain you. If you lose that small amount, control yourself! Do not invest anymore. Just forget about the money you lost in gambling.

Yeah, you'll know from the first time you gamble if you'd be able to control yourself when time comes that you get hooked to much. This is called greediness because you are not satisfied what you had in gambling that can turn to lose all of you profit and capital..
For me if you are just gamble like in dice game better to gamble with fun and don't expect that you can make huge profit so that you will not regretting in the end. someone here posted few days ago regretting losing a large number of bitcoin that he saying that dice site is fraud..
