Gasquet 0-2, it is unexpected, and now the in-play odds is 4.3 for Gasquet and 1.2 for Edmund.

seems like a very generous odds to me and Im not sure what is happening right now however I wont be betting this as this sounds like a trap atleast for me. gasquet might be striking back the moment that he find the right tempo to do that , it is just wether my predictions are correct or that Im losing this generous odds

This is a very bad show from Gasquet, and I think many gamblers lose their bet in this match. We may expect some more unexpected results in coming days. That is why I am not betting on qualifier matches. I will go with playoff games. This is a good choice for me.

yeah screw the early matches. Hard to tell who is motivated or even trying hard until
its later on in the tournament. So many good players go out early that should win that it's
hard to bet.

I actually like Kerber a lot to win the US Open she has been playing some good tennis this year and currently is in good form leading into the US Open so I will be putting a small stake on her to win @8.60 but I still think Serena Williams @2.44 is the one to beat playing on home court. Madison Keys is also another good one at odds currently @15.5 on DirectBet which is where I got all the odds from.
Kerber is not that good in form , are you still remember she lost the gold medal to a no.34 ranked Monica Puig in olympic game few weeks ago? Actually i think Monica Puig could still work the miracle in the US open too. She is so exciting to show the gold medal isn't won by luck. Betting on this dark horse with Monica Puig @ 30 odds.

Olympics isn't a good form guide leading into a Grand Slam as most players don't worry too much about the Olympics. Before that in Grand Slams she has been playing good tennis so that's what I'm going by. I agree that Monica Puig is at good odds @30 and will most likely get far into the tournament but a Grand Slam is much tougher then an Olympics.

Well Monica Puig just lost in the first round in straight sets and just as I said Olympics don't really mean much and this just proves that you can't follow the Olympic form into a Grand Slam event. Kerber made it through due to the other player retiring.

Gasquet was a shock first round loss, apart from that all the other top players have made it through. Nadal, Isner, Monfils and it looks like Tsonga is also going to go through as he is currently winning 2 sets to 0

I won my parlay bet tonight but I got a scare with Madison keys who didn't play very well and at one stage I thought she would loose the match in the second set tie break when Alison Riske was on serve to win the match but lucky for me Keys ended up winning the tie break and winning the 3rd set easily. I agree Rubberduckie I also hate betting on favorites in the first round.

Sorry for misjudged about Monica Puig , i followed his twitter , she was so excited about this US Open , sad to see she lost the early 1st round to Saisai Zheng.
Tennis world never stop suprise us , sometimes i think some matches are been fixed.

Simon G. (Fra)      VS     Stepanek R. (Cze)
I'm not sure about this Gilles Simon , worry about his inconsistent performance.
It should be end tied , maybe there will be 5 set. But i think Stepanek will grab a win.

It's okay mate and I agree that I also believe that some matches are fixed or certain players loose sets on purpose and then come back and win the match. With what has been happening in tennis lately on match fixing I wouldn't put it past any player to agree to fix a match if it means a big payday for that particular player.

i would rather expect a upset at the very early stage, then things would get interesting. All the results till now were expected, nothing out of the ordinary till now. If things move like this , sure can earn some winning runs, but the odds available are terrible right now  Grin
