Hey, I'm going to get 3x of that RX 480 version too, how has been your experience till now? I'd definitely like to know that. Which OS and which miner are you using? Are you using PCI-E x16 2.0 version or the 3.0 version?

I am buying the Sapphire Nitro+.   I will of course underclock it for mining needs but the reason I chose this card even though it is not as silent or as cool is that I can flash it with a custom BIOS without worry as it has a Dual BIOS!

If you want to know how important a dual BIOS is than let me tell you I flashed by R9 280x once and it failed miserably that part of the card was bricked.. Opened up my case push the BIOS button rebooted back into windows than pushed that BIOS switch and reflashed the BIOS.  That custom BIOS worked for me that time and I was back in business. But if I did not have that dual BIOS I would of had a bricked card and out of luck.

After I had this experience I will always go for a card with a dual BIOS if one is available it is too important of a feature. I really was shocked to see no Dual BIOS on the new XFX my R9 380x DD Black Edition has a dual BIOS why they hell they remove it from the RX 480 I can't fathom.

I've got the cards

They are very disappointing:

1) GPU clock is more or less standard - 1288MHz
2) 6 pin power
3) There is zero card control with Wattman using newest drivers 16.8.2
4) Mining in dual mode 22.4MHs (ETH) and 460MHs (SIA)

So card is not aftermarket, rather looks like standard

A bricked card would destroy all chances of ROI for sure Cheesy.

Thank you for sharing your results... availability is pretty bad for those cards right now...

I will follow the topic.

Sad to hear that, I was expecting at the least 25 Mh/s in dual mode. Haven't you tried changing drivers/OS/tweaks? What about the pre-included CD driver in the box? Did you try that?

I did not tried 16.7.2 (drivers from box) - probably will give a last chance them tonight

I'm working with Windows only - so did not try *nix

Only tweaks you can play around are with Wattman, which is unbelievable piece of shit

Well I'm looking forward towards the results you get with the 16.7.2 driver, as most of the miners are using it. I'm going to get my hands off on 3x of these versions of XFX RX 480 in a week. Which mobo are you using by the way?

I'd rather do not expect super results from me - I will just install the pack and start the miner. Wattman sucks big time, so I will not use it.
