Something about Multibit Classic and fees

Hello,
I use Multibit Classic desktop wallet, and when I set the fee in settings to less than 0.0001 Bitcoins, I see that it doesn't change, I pay 0.0001 Bitcoins fees for every transaction I send.
But when I put the fee in settings to more than 0.0001 Bitcoins, I can see that it changes.
What is the solution to this problem?

In Multibit Classic, you can set a fee of 0.00001 Bitcoins in settings.
But, when you send a transaction, you pay 0.0001 Bitcoins fee.

Multibit Classic is no longer supported but you still can find the source code in Github and do the needed modifications. It's most likely because 0.0001 is the recommended fees so setting them to lower then 0.0001 BTC will make Multibit adjust them for you. (I could be wrong though)

I wouldn't recommend anyone to do that without knowing what they're doing.

Multibit should allow users to set the minimum fee themselves without making adjustments for them.

Multibit HD allows this, at least to an extent (max 0.0005BTC per KB). Would be really nice if they make fully manual fee possible.
