If it really has a big punishment like I will be imprisoned if I'm caught using it then I will not use bitcoin. I will just find another way to have income and be free than suffer because I insist in using something that's illegal. May be I will shift to another cryptocurrency that is not illegal and then gain from there. There will always be a way if I look hard enough.

Well, it is always stated that "our rights ends when others rights starts"... Therefore, if government has a plan, then we have nothing to do with it, we have no choice but to follow, but since most of us is resilient enough, I think even if it is declared as illegal I think we will still pursue to collect bitcoin... There is always a way for things that could possibly make us alive or survive in life...

Yes , for me as long as we keep on using it on legal ways then there would be no ways that bitcoin will be considered as illegal by our government and i think they will support us instead

I think not. I'd rather forget about it then risk anything with the law.

I hope no bank heist or any crime in the internet that could involve bitcoin... That way there is no reason for the government to monitor or ban the use of bitcoin... For now, I think it's just fine even if the government won't support bitcoin, as long as they are not planning to impose harsh move against bitcoin...

I don't know. I'm not sure yet. It will depend on the strictness of the government in terms of abolishing the currency within the country. I mean as long as I can't be traced, I will still use it.

Of course. As a legit citizen of your country, you have every right to make a complain and be vocal about it. But still, if the government says so, it is an ultimatum especially in a non-democratic country.

Absolutely but if the government will monitor bitcoin then i think there would be no problem for that. It only means thst they are starting to recognized bitcoin which is good for us

Most of the governments will never allow bitcoin to be legal in their country. Because Government wants to control the power of people. So they will not allow free distribution of money to their people. Instead they will try to capture the source of it and enjoy it's benefits.
However, due to the technological complexities, most of the government is not bothered by bitcoin. That's a good thing.

Is anyone here thinking this through? It would mean there'd be no exchanges and no payment processors. Even if it were legal in your neighbouring country, no business would deal with you in the same way that no one from NY state can use most services.
Even for drugs that's of little use unless you're buying from abroad.

you were indeed correct, if indeed all people that are this in forum think so. Then they would have difficulty in doing all the things that exist in the bitcoin. But I am sure that it will not abandon something bad for them who does really want to be rich, because bitcoin will provide them riches in a short enough time when they did work hard

As we know, some country banned bitcoin and it's illegal to use/own bitcoin there. But, i see some people who still use bitcoin even they know the risk. So, would you keep use Bitcoin if government says bitcoin is illegal in your country? Even if they could spy you on internet? If that really happened my country (i hope it won't happen), i would still use bitcoin, but i would use tor browser and paid/trusted VPN to do any bitcoin activity. More info (might be not up to date) : 1. Legality of bitcoin by country2. Is Bitcoin Legal? If Bitcoin Really Banned in My Country Then I Will Exchange My All Bitcoins Into Another Altcoin And Start Using the Other Altcoins To Grow My Money.... But It Is Not Possible Now....

Yes, they will not even know that i continue using bitcoin because its anonymously transaction made also it can be tradable on other country's fiat then to exchange fiat to fiat currencies . But then at first i don't have an idea why other country's don't accept bitcoin on they banned it ,maybe the only illegal way is the crime related underground transactions on market makes a bad effect on the people on a particular country.
