Yes unless those ATMs become common place people are not going to move tens of miles just to use one of those, since one of the strongest points of bitcoin is we can use it from anywhere we have an Internet connection an access to a computer.

That's not true (my experience only) in the USA.  It's been a pain in the butt for me to buy BTC.  I have used "BTMs" that charged from 6% (long time ago) to 15%.  Currently the best (lowest) premium over spot in my city is 9%.

I have used localbitcoins, but it's HARD to coordinate meetings, at least for me.  I've done it, but not easy.

I used Circle for a short while, but they're now OUT of the BTC biz.

The mark up can often be a little bit more than usual when purchasing from a bitcoin ATM but it does have one big advantage  and that is with most bitcoin atm's you can buy your coins anonymously.
To a lot of people that is worth the extra few percent.

Here in Philippines we only have one bitcoin ATM at the moment. The bitcoin ATM here in Philippines is only located in our country's capital, Manila. Having one bitcoin ATM for me here is enough since we can all easily convert bitcoin into fiat via coins.ph web wallet app or rebit.ph service which are trusted by many of the bitcoiners here in Philippines. It will also save money if we use these services to convert our bitcoin into fiat than using bitcoin ATM.

Every country has got one or two Bitcoin ATM. I'm surprised to know this, though the people using bitcoin is quite low the spreading can be done through such services. Also recently while reading about bitcoin's existence came through a point that 800 bitcoin ATM's were functioning around the globe. If that's true which country has got large number of bitcoin ATM's.

We are fortunate because we do have here in our country. Although, we have just few ATM it is still very convenient for those who wants to en-cash their bitcoin easily. We do have in the capital of our country but in the province still nothing yet but I heard they are working on it. Hoping so.

We dont have any idea on which country does have the most number of bitcoin atm machines but i would say that they are placed on the most bitcoin friendly countries on which adoption is very high.In my country i guess it does have only 1 bitcoin atm machine which is being placed on the capital region.

Hello guys  Grin
How many bitcoin ATMs do you
have in your country?
Here in Portugal there's only one
in Lisbon!
Do you think there should be more in
your country or are sufficient?

In my country is not known bitcoin. So have no meaning to speak about the ATM-s. As for the number of ATM are always less than needed. Not only for bitcoin but even for the real money. Everyone want to have its personal ATM near at his/her home. IN this way can manage faster his/her money.

Bitcoin on the internet it has been accepted, we can not argue about this. There were many countries in Europe and elsewhere to accept payment in Bitcoins instead of cash, in the not too distant future I think it will get people to accept such other currency!

You are not even reading, what op is asking is about ATM's. And here in my country there is no bitcoin ATM but there is a local exchange who is partnered with local banks. With that way, you can just simply withdraw your bitcoins by using their service and gets to convert it to fiat easily with the current price of bitcoin.

there is some in Indonesia but i've never use it because it is not in my country , maybe when Bitcoin ATM spread in the world i will try to use it,
If i am not wrong there are two bitcoin ATM in Indonesia, they are at Bali island and at Jakarta. And i have never use them too. Because my home is very away from Jakarta and Bali island, about 5 hours to Jakarta and 7 hours on Bali.
just heared by some people who lives in indonesia that in bali is definitely not an ATM but a bitcoin vending machine, and both function is really different
you can only buy bitcoin with vending machine but you can withdraw your bitcoin if the machine was an ATM
Yes you are right, there are vending machine on Bali island, i am sorry for my mistake and i have said before that If i am not wrong
And mostly people at Indonesia take withdrawal BTC to fiat money (IDR) use market of bitcoin.co.id
The big market at Indonesia for exchange bitcoins.
