If you "have to write off another one" you're making horrible decisions and aren't vetting your investments. This one was a scam from the beginning and that was blatantly obvious. Even in the infinitesimally small chance that it wasn't, it was still going to be a horrible investment. By taking part, you were only giving yourself one of two choices: lose or lose. I really wish some people would learn from this, but the simple fact is most of you are going to throw your money at the next scam and cry yet again. As long as you continue to do this, you will keep pushing forward more scams. Learn. Vet. Don't throw your money blindly at projects. It's a simple concept.

I dont think it is the same person who got cheated over and over again. There is always new waves of people coming in and there is always new target for people to scam on.
