Bitcoins were 8 dollars when i was starting to read about them. I contemplated spending a few paychecks and buying a bunch. Ultimately i decided that it would be a poor decision, as i am just a poor young adult, and it didnt seem to be growing. Now that i have come back to the community, i see now that i was completely 100% totally wrong, and i feel fucking dumb for not investing the 500 dollars.
Is it too late? What evidence is there to suggest that the price will continue skyrocketing like it has been? Is there any way to start earning BTC's, besides mining?

Start a business.

You could trade assets on CoinBr.  Start with a Single BTC and buy some stocks or options.  I can't bear buying more BTC at these prices, so I invest it in BTC businesses.

I don't run CoinBr, but I look forward to making money there on the options trading.  See their link in my sig.

Remember, start small, don't venture anything you can't lose (don't bet grocery money on the price of BTC), and learn as much as you can about any investment you want to make.

Ask Questions.

Continue awareness among the world, positive news, more business coming online that use BTC.

Buy them with fiat.  Start a BTC business.  Exchange other goods/services with people for BTC.  As you can tell in my sig, I do video editing for people.  Back in summer 2012 a user paid me 5 BTC (like, 25 bucks at the time) to edit a video.  That 5 BTC is now worth almost 500 dollars Cheesy  Plus, that user got his video. The bitcoin economy got that much stronger as well.

Best way is to earn them, not buy them.

If you start a BTC business you should do it first and foremost because you believe in BTC. Given that, it's perfectly sensible to buy some too.

Buy two BTC.  it will be worth it.  Then make some investments and wait.  You can't pull BTC out of your bunghole, you have to mine or your have to buy.

I think he's looking for good advice.  LTC is only for buying BTC, so it's kinda just like a longer route to the same goal.

No

LTC or TRC has a legitimate chance of growing more rapidly than BTC, given their low price. I would get LTC and TRC defn.

LTC may even take over from BTC, or TRC be used for payments as it is faster

What evidence is there to suggest that the price will continue skyrocketing like it has been?

What evidence is there that the price will come down? There is none either way. But it's at least safer to say that the current trend - which has been going on for a long time - will continue rather than to say that the current trend will turn around. But you shouldn't expect anything.

There isn't one of us who wouldn't want to have a time machine and go back and buy a bunch of bitcoins when they were cheap, maybe get some Apple stocks from 10 years ago while we're at it, but such speculation is useless. I bought a bunch when they were 10$ and I'm sorry that I didn't buy much more.

The ones reaping benefits are the ones taking big risks. Those who always 'safe' in life, will seldom achive great wealth or greatness in anything.

@OP

Don't feel bad, I missed my chance on investing a little over a year ago when the price was around $2.  I knew it was going to come back, but for some reason I didn't buy any coins to hold onto.

Im certainly looking into starting a BitCoin casino, as i know how to code, and starting my own business is a lofty goal, but also something im looking into. Right now the best advice ive drawn from this is to just sell my skills for Bits, to gain some BitCaptial to bitinvest with Tongue

Don't bother investing time in Litecoin. It has some merit as a shadow market for the Bitcoin economy, but the network effect will be so strong in favor of Bitcoin that I regard it as very unlikely that you can make more out of it.

And don't worry about entering the game at this stage, you're still way ahead of the curve. Just ask around friends and relatives how many know and understand Bitcoin. The market is still tiny, there is hardly any institutional money in it, Bitcoin isn't yet on a forex market, it could easily go to $10k each. Probably even within a year or so.
