Yea, my tone is pretty bad, I apologize.  This seems like a great event for people to connect developers who are interested in bitcoins.

I guess I don't like to see developers possibly wasting their time and money to attend an event that seems to be recruiting people for startups and telling them to develop apps so they can measure their talent.  The event could entirely be useful for both parties, though.
