I don't think Monero can go to 100 dollars per coin. Businesses are not even using this coin. The price increase is just the hype on the dark market. There is not enough money for Monero to sustain such high value.

Monero price right now is cause a pumping $8-$10 is possible but $100 for short time is just dreaming, many reason affected all the altcoin and Monero too, dont think to high, for several day the Monero price will go down too

Nobody can tell this. Cryptomarket is totally crazy. Bitcoin ramped to sky suddenly, Bytecoin (BCN) has a strong code development first cryptonote currency and is cheap as the hell, Litecoin reached 40$ many people have hoped in a value growth but after the big crash hasn't recovered now is value fallen to 3.x$, Gridcoin despite its great concept is ignored by most of the community similar story for Namecoin, Ethereum gained tons of enthusiasm but to me seems vaporware, and everyday someone copy-paste a new altcoin.
All depends on how wales decide to pump.

I have only 50 XMR aren't enough for a Lambo but If some of us can change his life investing in the right cryptocurrency I would be happy.

Bullshit. I never seen any people using XMR in the darknet. Still only Bitcoin are used in real underground world transactions with few exceptions. The growth is because some big boy invested a lot of money in Monero

It is clear, you right completely right. Generally the market cap need a real use, like btc, eth, xrp and so forth, speculation fund will flow out from the market if they think the market ain't worth. The market demand supply decides the price.

unlike many who say monero is just a pump i do believe that this rise is mostly because of the news about darknet and introducing a big market for actually using this coin.
but i don't think we are at $100 potential yet, and surely not soon!

The point of anonymous coin is make the transaction untraceable. What I'm talking about is that simply at this time aren't used and out of cryptcocurrencies nerds that collects various altcoin, you cannot find someone that accept XMR as payment.

I don't see any supporting facts that monero's price will reach for that far and i think the  price for it will only slowly climbing up since many people are doing trade for that coin,  and 100$ price prediction is very ambitious speculation for you OP,  monero will get more things to prove with and monero is not bitcoin thats why i dont see that price for that coin will soar high until it reach for that 100$ price speculated.

Agree. This is too far fetch. It doesn't have much development for mass adoption to make it to 100$.
If eth didn't make it with its supporters yet it end up with just less than 20$. Xmr needs more merchant sites that supports it before it can have more than 10$.

Chances are this happen already this year. All it needs is 3 legs when the price rises under 100 % per leg.

However, if this will not happen in 2016, my advice is not to be disappointed but just be a bit more patient and waite to 2017 or 2018...

Personally I do not have any goal for the price of Monero but I want to buy 1-5 ounces of gold coins to reward me when it breaks 100 usd/xmr.

If OP asked this question last year I would just ignore him. The darknet market news is really big and it was how bitcoin started the legendary rise. So now we should be open to the idea of a $100 per 1 XMR scenario. I also read that some of the who's who of the cryptosphere are impressed and are thankful to the Monero development team for creating it.
