Bitclash, a games / app startup based in Germany, is launching a PvP Bitcoin Challenge Game APP.

1. Introduction
2. Gameplay
3. Funding
4. Marketing
5. IT concept

1. Introduction - What is the idea behind Bitclash?

Bitclash offers bitcoin and altcoin lovers the opportunity to play rock-paper-scissors for cryptocurrency against other users.

Wikipedia explanation for rock-paper-scissors:

Rock–paper–scissors is a zero-sum hand game usually played between two people, in which each player simultaneously forms one of three shapes with an outstretched hand. These shapes are "rock" (✊ a simple fist), "paper" (✋ a flat hand), and "scissors" (✌️ a fist with the index and middle fingers together forming a V). The game has only three possible outcomes other than a tie: a player who decides to play rock will beat another player who has chosen scissors ("rock crushes scissors") but will lose to one who has played paper ("paper covers rock"); a play of paper will lose to a play of scissors ("scissors cut paper"). If both players choose the same shape, the game is tied and is usually immediately replayed to break the tie. Other names for the game in the English-speaking world include roshambo and other orderings of the three items, sometimes with "rock" being called "stone".

2. The gameplay of Bitclash

First, players get to choose between five different arenas - each arena uses a different currency as a wager. In order to join a crypto arena, it is necessary to deposit the matching coins for the arena into one of the accounts. In order to join the Ehthereum arena, for example, ethereum coins need to be credited to the appropriate account. Deposits are made - as usual - to an address for the specified coin which is supplied to the user.

As soon as a user deposited coins (Ethereum coins in this case, for example) he can choose between different rooms for a 1 vs 1 battle. Each user is able to create rooms himself. When doing so, it is possible to set the height of the bet. When entering another players room, the bet height set by that player is accepted. In the BTC arena, for example, bets are already starting at 200 satoshi (this isn't set in stone yet). At first, a mode called "best of five" is playable. The player winning most rounds out of five wins the wager. On a tie after five rounds, the next round determines the winner. On consecutive ties, players play until one user wins a round. The winner receives the amount wagered by both players.

3. How is Bitclash funded?

The winner of a match earns both bets, minus a small fee which will be somewhere between 2% and 5%.
Those collected fees are used to improve the game and cover additional development costs.
The free version of the game will feature ingame advertisement.
These ads can be switched off for a small fee, using various coins from the account balance.
In upcoming versions, users will be able to unlock different skin styles (used for the hands in rock-paper-scissor matches) using micropayments of crypto coins.

4. Bitclash marketing

One of the most important tasks will be to get new players on board, especially users with no previous crypto currency experience. In order to not only appeal to holders of crypto currency, we intend to reach new users with an offer of 500 satoshis for free. This amount is paid out after registration. This allows new users to get into crypto currencies without the necessity of holding some before starting to play. With this marketing move we want to reach many players right from the start, in order to fill the arenas.

This offer will start together with the launch of the first marketable version, and will continue for one year. This amount is capped, though, and the offer will end before one year passed if enough players could be hooked up on Bitclash already. In order to have this pool of free satoshis for new players, we plan to offer shares to investors which allow to take part in the earnings of the company. Additional information on this will be available on our website, which is scheduled to launch on September 2nd, 2016.

In addition, we plan to reach new users through facebook advertisements and social media campaigns.

5. IT concept for Bitclash

The gameplay has already been developed and screen designs for the mobile version have been created. The most important corner stones of our concept have been excessively discussed with developers and been tested for their feasibility and the possibility to implement as intended.

Our IT partner has already started to create a roadmap for implementation and is evaluating the programming languages, server structure and data security aspects. A first prototype is expected to be testable within one month. Our first steps will now be to obtain complete legal advice in order to choose the right distribution channels as soon as possible. Ideally, Bitclash will be available as a mobile application from the relevant app stores directly.

Due to the complex legal situation, we want to first make sure that nothing gets in the way of our release and no unforseen complications are encountered. A top priority is a timely launch of the gameplay concept in order to evaluate profitability and acceptance. In case of an app launch being to risky, we will launch a browser based version first, which will of course be designed to work with mobile devices as well.

Sounds like an awesome game! Who doesn't like paper-scissors-rock  Grin

Does BitClash have a website where we could read more about them?

Is there any advertising opportunities in the game for crypto based companies?

It's a nice idea to implement the simple yet popular rock-paper-scissors into a cryptoproject. I'm sure many of us have many kind memories related it. I can't wait to see your website! Wink Good luck

How do you calculate what the house cut will be? (You say that there is a fee somewhere between 2% and 5%). Is it dynamic? Three more you play, the smaller house edge? This would mean a 5% house edge at worst. Why don't you make it 1 or 0.1 percent? Then you would be able to compete with the top gambling sites like safedice or primedice.

How is the fairness of this game is ensured? It's very easy for the house to cheat by informing other player what his opponent choose. Operator can even create fake account and pose as a player while having access to his opponents bet.

I'm asking because I was also thinking about such game and I even come up with solution for the fairness problem.
