This was about when I arrived, yeah. Auld lang syne.

If there is something that will make Bitcoin succeed, it is growth of utility - greater quantity and variety of goods and services offered for BTC. If there is something that will make Bitcoin fail, it is the prevalence of users convinced that BTC is a magic box that will turn them into millionaires, and of the con-artists who have followed them here to devour them.

I miss "The Manipulator" - whether he or they ever really existed or not, it was fun to speculate.

That is why it is a poll where anyone can vote. Biased and unbiased opinions are all weclome. I know there are many on this forum who are bitter about what they have lost on bitcoins and will say less than $1 lol
I believe in something unlikely to happen Sad
*gazes forlornly at the magical $30 price*
It happened once, It can happen again! (maybe)

Down at $2, nothing looked possible...

I sold my first coins at ~$13, and bought all in on that first knife.  Thanks, Mr M!
I was new to trading at the time, and almost panicked when we hit $2. I held tight though, and was glad I did.

I am still convinced that it was Bitcoinica that was the "manipulator". Such distinct buying/selling or selling/buying went away right when Bitcoinica went away.

The chart right there is probably when I put 100 BTC shorted at $2.95 and squeezed out at $2.50. It always stopped exactly below the loss point before jumping back up to where it was.

First seastead company actually selling sea homes: Ocean Builders https://ocean.builders  Of course we accept bitcoin.
