Hello, I am a retiree.  I cashed out my conventional retirement accounts and invested the funds in cryptocurrency after monitoring the crytpo markets for several years and spying an opportunity to get in when btc hit bottom about a year ago.  I hold some xmr too, and it has done quite well.
I am making this post to introduce myself, and of course so that I'll be able to post in other sections. The signal-to-noise ratio is pretty good here, if you avoid the main bitcoin speculation thread  Smiley

Hi Millionero. I congratulate you on buying into the market at a bottom. That's not easy to do. Many people do the opposite and buy at the top, and when the price drops they panic and sell losing money! It's also great that you're taking control over your own money, but that means greater responsibility. Since you've been hanging around for a while you probably know you should be careful with how you store your coins (like buying a Trezor) and be careful not to be scammed.

I definately second the part about getting a good hardware wallet or several hardware wallets depending on the amount of coins you hold. Especially since it is your retirment fund, you need to be absolutely sure that you don't lose it due to a stupid hack or bad investment.

Regarding the monero and the altcoin market, don't get emotionally attached to the coins you buy. Often they see tremendous returns, only to crash back close to where they started liftoff days, weeks or months later. Take your profits while you are ahead and you can greatly increase your retirement spending money!

Investing in bitcoin is a good idea. You should try learning how to trade efficeincy so that you can lower the risk. I myself is still newbie in trading but I learned some great ideas in this forum.

At which price point do you expect to sell, if that's not a secret?

It's a store of capital that I tap into according to my needs.  Like when I bought monero, I paid for it with bitcoin.  And I recently cashed out a few grand worth to pay for a major expense that's coming up.  I'm not trying to time the market.  It's like a savings account.  And it's been getting smaller lately.

Very good for you. I also monitor the markets since 2013 but i didn't have the balls to get in when the price was 200$. That is the problem with being greedy, not knowing technical analysis.

Hey welcome to the bitcointalk bro,  I would suggest you to invest your retirement funds in Lending the loan or else you can start trading bitcoin. Because that would be help to double your bucks.

Exactly many get into system at wrong time.

But for making trade or making decision of stake is not as easy thing, it needs a knowledge, experience and determination. Without it no one can survive in crypto market.

Blockchain itself a amazing innovative platform which give invention to world.
I think Millionero you are doing well and going in right direction. Wish you a great time.
