Hi, I just followed all the necessary steps to run poclbm on MAC OSX (as shown here: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=fe6b8acaedf14ef5658579dc9ba22b0a&topic=12360.0;all)

The problem I have is that when I'm trying to launch it like that: "python /Applications/poclbm/poclbm.py -u username --pass password -d 0 -o mining.bitcoin.cz",
I'm getting that error message:

File "/Applications/poclbm/BitcoinMiner.py", line 359, in loadKernel
    kernelFile = open('BitcoinMiner.cl', 'r')
IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'BitcoinMiner.cl'

But the file is there! Sad

Can someone help me with that please?

Thanks,

Jean.

You don't have OpenCL installed.

Search online for how to download and install OpenCL on your mac.

If my posts have helped, consider leaving a tip! 1AE5e56ivvaGMJJmLrZoLgiZXPx93CddyA

Nope, that's not it. He's just missing BitcoinMiner.cl.

Well maybe I don't understand where the file is supposed to be but I'm sure that bitcoinminer.cl is in the poclbm file (In "Applications") where all the other files are (bitcoinminer.py, bitcoinminer.pyc, poclbm. py, etc.). So, what is the issue here?

Thanks,

Jean.

Try doing "cd /Applications/poclbm/" before the "python ..." command. If that doesn't help, run the command with admin privileges ("sudo python ...", and it'll prompt for your user password).

I'd be surprised if one or both of those doesn't help.

Thanks a lot! I tried with sudo first and it changed nothing, but after I tried to specify the directory as you said and it worked! Thanks!
