According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

yeah there was  a flood of sale order and mtgox crash , I keep hitting F5 so many time, my hand is hurt

Having a laggy Gox that prevented me from selling have more often than not saved me from doing something stupid.

I tried to buy at 75-77, no luck. Got in at 84 at last. So I guess that Gox dampened price action a lot with their lack of smoothness.

MTGOX should work very hard on a better trading engine. Current engine is waaay to slow at high volume
