I know with prepaid debit cards these days, you get a number that you can use online before the physical card arrives.  Does Shift do the same thing?  Cause I kinda need to spend some BTC today or tomorrow at the very latest.

Also, anything else I should know their service?

No, you do not get the card number until after it arrives.
