Hi as a lot of you know mtgox recently switched to using LR as a payment processor.
The problem is I have a bunch of cash in my bank account that I need to convert to LR so people withdraw their mtgox USD. I'm trying to buy a bunch of LR on exchangezone but the process seems like it will take a couple weeks. So if anyone is holding LR could I buy it from you with a bank wire or ACH?
Thanks for any help.

Why not use another exchanger?
Someone like goldexpay charges 0%, and you can send payment with bank wire.

If it's $10k or more, Liberty Reserve may work with you directly.

jgarzik: I don't see the option on the site. I emailed them though and got this response:

Dear Customer.

Thank you for contacting Liberty Reserve.

Liberty Reserve Premium is not real, Never assume that if a particular website has the words, "libertyreserve" in its name, for example, "libertyreserve-profit.com", it has anything to do with, or is endorsed by, Liberty Reserve.

 Walter Tripp
funny since it is their blog...

idev & Drifter: thanks these seem good. I had only looked at that bsrates.com site and all those charge a lot.

Do let me know how many LR you need.

Bitcoins welcome.

Valerius

It might help if you listed your latest rates somewhere...just so people dont have to keep asking/wondering.

Perhaps in your forum signature would be nice.  Smiley

Well the process to get LR from any of these places takes several days. So I've suspended LR withdrawal until I can get some LR in the mtgox account.
So still if anyone has a lot of LR and wants to help get the exchange working again please email me.

I can buy liberty reserve at the post office using eforexgold  http://btco.in/2t

Transexpress http://btco.in/2u

Aurum Xchange http://btco.in/2v  you can also get a visa debit card for $69 which lets you spend LR wherever visa is accepted ie-sell bitcoin for LR then go shopping Smiley

There is also TechnoCash http://www.technocash.com/pages/about.cfm if you own a company you can then receive payments into your bank account. I was looking at them for an Australian based bitcoin exchange because I could send people a barcode by email which they can pay at the post office.

If you wanted to go the professional route they have a retail account http://www.technocash.com/pages/business-collecting-client-payments.cfm but you need a registered business number....shell company anyone?  Wink

It's terribly inconvenient that you shroud the URLs this way.  Using a URL shortener on a short URL just adds pointless work to your browser, and makes it more annoying to cut-n-paste URLs out of your post.

Its a habit from using twitter.  Undecided

Why do you need to copy and paste when I hyperlinked them?

I was emailing a couple of the sites to someone.  Which meant I had to click on the damn things just to find the URLs that should be been in the original post.  And with URL shrouds, you wind up defeating some of my malware checks (FireFox has a list of known malware sites using Google's API, and URL redirection obviously defeats that).

URL redirection is evil, and should be used only when you are absolutely forced to do so (such as 140 char twitter limit).

You probably have a point.

I should emphasize btco.in has a feature where you add a + to the end of the short url and it takes you to a page with the stats and the original url.

davidonpda will make sure any link that comes from btco.in goes through all the malware checks needed first. Would a preview link feature help alleviate some concerns?

Back to the original thread topic - bank wires are pretty costly in some cases. Have you contacted liberty reserve itself and asked to become an official exchanger?

So I've suspended LR withdrawal until I can get some LR in the mtgox account.

Is LR withdrawal still suspended, or not?
If not, how long it lasts?

I bought a bunch from aurumxchange. I'm just waiting for the wire to go through. These things take a while that is why I started this thread to see if some one had some now that I could buy.
Anyway they tell me it should be there tomorrow.
