At the beginning you need to know that every website accepts the possibility of sponsored article. Such practic doesn't mean that in the future the advertised service / offer proves to be a fraud. Such accusations you can throw only, when you are sure that the information service knew about intentions of advertised service.

I think they're not picking the banner for manually and they're just get a banner for automatically
I assume that this is happening but still it is unacceptable to see one of the most reputable bitcoin news websites promoting cloud mining scams. There is no excuse for them,if they want to gain their readers trust and increase their traffic they must stop advertising sites like this and be more selective.

Hemmm.... okay maybe if that is just an automatically and the effect is also the decreasing their credibility.... but maybe they wanna for utilize their traffic rank for getting a profit from them. well, like a lot of person in this time the profit is always become the mainly targetting.

Cointelegraph is promoting scammers through ads --- biteminers and some others. Should a decently reputable btc news site do some vetting of their advertisers?
I like those guys yammering that someone is doing something unethical. Thiose guys participating in a signature campaign of a dice game. Bravo! It is different. Dice and Casino are areas where newbies or seasoned bitcoin users know the risks involved. It is casino and betting after all. But on popular crypto news sites, new bitcoin users are less wary of scam sites and may be conned by these scammy investment sites

It looks like their ads are not generated by ad servers. It is inserted manually. Hence. no excuse that it is the ad provider's fault.

We need to wait for official statement from Cointelegraph. I am sure that they will back from every scammy and potentially harmful ad.
At some point I saw fake blockchain.info wallet in google ads, so if giants like google can made a mistake of this caliber we will have to excuse Cointelegraph (if they react and fix their error fast, that is).

the comparison you just made is simply bad. Google have millions of users and each user is free to put ads he wants to , unlike Cointelegraph where they only add cryptocurrencies advertisements (and there is only a few of them). Not only that but sometimes they do reviews in the websites they advertise (the scammy ones) + they put their referral links, so yeah It's their responsibility 100% . and how come they are the only one advertising scams ? I don't see Coindesk or other websites doing that .

Hahahaha and that's why i'm very dislike about the site with a high traffic because for the longer the site will never care about their ads if that will affected their visitor or trapped them, that is absolutely can happened, and in their mind just filling with money, money and money. i'm not naive if their site is still alive from gaining money at from their ads.

trust your own judgement, not the ads from any source be it cointelegraph or bitcointalk how many scams,HYIPs and "cloud minings" are advertised here? does it mean that the forum itself is not trustworthy? how does cointelegraph determine if the advertiser is "legit" or not?

If cointelegraph are using an ad server or ad service, then we can give them the benefit of the doubt since they may not be able to control the ads that appear but if cointelgraph were to be in direct contact with the scammers and offered a space for scammers to advertise, then we need to question coin telegraph

I've saw allegations saying that Cointelegraph is not a reputable crypto-currency news website, so this confirms what those people said.
If you want something to promote, you can buy 'articles' or 'interviews' from them. Cointelegraph is far from reputable, and them claiming to be a 'news site' is just a complete hoax.

not defending Cointelegraph here, but if you were them would you just tell to go to hell to an advertiser who brings you money now and here or you rather be proud and wear a watermark "NO HYIPS,SCAMS,INVESTMENT,GAMBLING-only news, gossips so lets hold hands and wallow in bliss" ? accepting ads from a HYIP doesn't mean that you condone scam Huffington Post posting Trump's interview about the wall with Mexica makes them racist slugs? Once again-it is up to you to gauge the level of trust this or that source of info provides. You see them advertise HYIPs and all sort of dubious semi-legal shit that turns into scam with time?Treat them accordingly. Find a different news site, use adblock or never use the companies they advertise(hope you don't anyways)

I think there is big misunderstanding about the scam concept , if you see a site as a scam site , might other one don't see it a scam , however , I prefer to stay away from all these sites , but I am not sure that all these sites are scammers , about cointelegraph , it is not the only site which advertise for a cloud mining , I can watch similar ads on coinmarketcap and newsbtc and many other sited .

I think that they only care about their ads and revenues and earnings from advertisements. They must block ads such as ads about cloudmining websites because many user will be in wrong place. So if you are website which is talking trusts and news about bitcoin, than why are you advertising scammers in exchange of money? I have this question

The problem with these kinds of websites is that they will do anything for money. Cointelegraph don't care as long as the shady websites pay them in bitcoin. Even coindesk has fallen to that level recently. Some shady cloud mining website did a (200$) "press release" on their website spouting the biggest lies and promises. Coindesk don't mind or care, they put a disclaimer at the bottom saying the info may not be true and that's it. Never mind the fact they misleaded thousands of readers and attracted investors to a scam website.
