I changed the link to the one on the Komodo sub. For some reason I have issues with the /cryptocurrency board every now and then.

So all we need to do is holding > 500 Komodos on 15th August. Discord join seems to be optional because there is no link between joining Discord and holding coins. Or did I missed a point from your explaination?

That is correct, the discord invite is optional. I added it in the beginning so that most people are in our discord in order to get wallet and news updates. Users that hold 500 or more KMD will be included in the snapshot. The 1million ZILLA will be distributed among those addresses based on the amounts held in them. Hence, if you have 1000 KMD, there is NO need to split them into 2 batches of 500 KMD. If we divide 104,000,000 KMD into 1,000,000 ZILLA you get 0.00961. Multiply that by 500 and you get 4.8. So users should expect 4.8 ZILLA per 500 KMD as a minimum.

The airdrop of zilla seems to be an early christmas bonus for us komodo hodlers. It is just like being given free assets. Come to think of with just around 11 million tokens supply , zilla will be valuable as time goes by and the projects potentially it will maintain.

Will this also be distributed when holding on ledger?

Unfortunately with the ledger it's tricky. You need to make sure that the 500 KMD are consolidated in one address and you will need to export that privatekey later to access your Zilla. We are working on an Electrum wallet that supports ledger but I don't want to assure you that you will be able to access it with your ledger device...at least for a while.

Good to know the calculation of Zilla airdrop. In this case where zilla token will only have 11 million in total circulation. I will have a decent amount of zilla tokens based on the above calculation.

I'm glad that i don't have have split my KMD.
Guys we should request ledger to fix KMD wallet/app so that we could claim interest without having to extract/export private keys from the seed, i have sent an email to them. maybe if more people request it they fix it..

I wouldn't get your hopes up as it really falls on the Ledger team to recreate their wallet and so far it sounds like they have no desire to do so. Having said that, I too have a nano and dumped my private key. It's really painless in the grand scheme of things and no more vulnerable if you do it right. Dump your key offline and store it encrypted. Only login to the wallet offline and then turn on your network to claim rewards. I simply have a designated wallet computer that I leave unplugged and only turn it on when I need to.
