Could someone please humour me by taking a look at the specs for the XC9572XL (-10TQ100C) and estimating the mining performance it could provide?

None. You will not fit even single rolled core.

Under development Modular UPGRADEABLE Miner (MUM). Looking for investors.
Changing one PCB with screwdriver and you have brand new miner in hand... Plug&Play, scalable from one module to thousands.

Excellent. Thanks for taking the time to check for me.

If you could show me the maths, that would be nice as I might learn something, for a change.

Anythng below Cyclone III or Spartan3 is not worth to look at. And those are oldies, so expect very poor performance (like 1MH/s). Best performance/price ratio have Spartan6 LX150. Next gen Atrix7 will propably have even better and those are what is worth to look ATM.

OK. Thanks.

I was hoping it would be worthwhile, as you can get them fairly cheaply on a board from DX.com

Back to the drawing board. Smiley
