This message is more for TacoTime from this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=150331.0

Being a newbie this is only place that I may post and sending personal message is disabled for my account.

So if anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.
I followed the setup and created an account on http://suprnova.cc

Using the settings given in tutorial in conjunction with the mining pool account info
http://s21.postimg.org/v53kjgm9z/miner_Error.jpg

But it seems to connect to the pool and it says starting...
Then it just hangs and never starts. I have tried multiple variations in my settings and I let is sit for 30min+ each time

I am pretty new to mining and crypto currency in general and wanted to get my feet wet and try my hand at it
My hardware is a bit dated, so I figured I would rather try my hand at LTC instead of BTC

If anyone could please help me get this guiminer-scrypt working, I would be much obliged.
Thanks

Hello PandaCoins,

look for your nvidia 8800 gts at https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

Try some options from there.

Also try to use http:// infront of the address.

Download http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html and monitor your gpu temp while mining.

The official max temp is 90 it should not be much higher then this, otherwise it will affect the lifetime of the gpu.

Did you install OpenCl drivers for your card?  That was the issue I was having (although I am using Scryptminer + Litecoin-qt).  I also had to dump the contents of the Scryptminer folder into the Litecoin-qt folder and overwrite the shared files.  Hope that helps

I checked out https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison and a few other sites with info and used the most generalized settings that others where using for nvidia 8800GTS card, but still hangs indefinitely when it says starting.....

I downloaded the latest opencl drivers I could find from nvidia, but still having the issue :/
