There are 8 already qualified teams at the next World Cup 2018: Brazil, Russia, Iran, Mexico, Japan, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, South Korea.
6 tams that are very close to qualifying: Tunisia, Spain,Germany, Serbia, England, Costa Rica
Only 8 countries as a whole have already officially qualified for the World Cup 2O18 and there are already 4 Asian countries. This is a great achievement for Asia. Asian football is now in a pretty good period, their quality is increasing. I hope in Russia there will be one representative from Asia who can provide great resistance. Out of the 4 Asian countries that have qualified already, Japan has the highest chance to provide a little bit of resistance against their European and South American counterparts. Second would be South Korea. The reason is, they have players playing in top leagues abroad, thus they already have experience playing against someone bigger and faster than them.

I agree with you that these two countries will be participating in the 2018 World Cup. Indeed, football in these countries is on the rise.

sorry for Argentina fans but since messi at the teams Argentina always be failed from the big event from world cup untill Copa America indeed i would not blamed him because Messi want the best for Argentina but the title of the best player in the world doesn't sound good for me if he cannot get at least 1 trophy for National team untill end of his career
I think for now, Ronaldo is the best player in the world above Lionel Messi. Not because Ronaldo has earned 1 trophy in the national team last year at the Euro, but because it is currently very explosive Ronaldo. The explosion from Ronaldo is incredible. His influence in the field is very clearly felt by us.

it loves to see that Portugal has placed within the best three teams, and Germany has gained again the top. I personally love European football so this ranking table makes me so happy. besides this, I also a little bit disappointed to see the position of Italy, they deserve at least top ten. hopefully, in the next table, they will find thier position.

In my honest opinion, European football is much stronger than other continents since they have access to talents from all over the world. Most players from South America are being poached by European clubs to bolster them and thus increases the level of playing in their continent since they have to adjust to player strengths that are not commonly found in EU.

But it is a very good thing for the south American nation football team, especially Brazil which have a very strong team, which could win the world cup.

That's without a single doubt, its no surprising that most of the FIFA competitions are being won by European clubs and countries now. Though the footballing is very strong and popular in South America, they will not able to overtake their European counterparts for a long time.

Clubs' football is 100% dominated by Europe, but because they have talents all over the world, with national teams things are more balanced but still only Europe and South America are really competitive.

indeed that's true usually the dream achievement of players in the world is they able to play at European teams that's why european club is pretty strong if we compare the strength between south america club and european club but if we compare the achievement from National teams south america countries was very dominated the main event such as world cup

Latin American players have the same qualities as those in Europe I think, which is a problem in Latin American soccer now is that there are less players playing compact when playing in the national team. For the last few months only Brazil has shown the true quality of Latin America, their great competitors, Argentina is in bad times, they have no cohesiveness at all.

I agree with you on this issue, European players get more modern facilities than any other continent. basically, European football league is the blessing for them for getting physical and technical tactics. We have seen in recent time, all of the world-class players have played in the European league so that those European country's football is getting benefitted better than latin America.

The problem with argentina has been going on for about a decade and Argentina has changed managers many times since then but the problem never ends. I think all is just compactness and supposed the players can play compact because they are professional players. I think the problem is that argentina overly exalted Messi and charged it all to Messi.

I really don't see why Gareth Southgate included Dele Alli in the English squad to face Slovenia knowing full well that the player has been given a one match ban by FIFA for giving the middle finger to the Slovakians after the game. Fabian Delph on the other hand justified his inclusion with a very fine performance when Manchester City faced Chelsea in the EPL yesterday.

Probably Southgate thinks keeping Alli in & around the squad to join in training & stuff is a good idea. Doesn't make any sense to me too but hey, I'm not the manager.

That baffled me as well. Why Dele Alli was included when he could not even play. Anyway, if Harry Kane keeps up with what he is doing in the Prem right now, England might light up Slovenia come match day. His form is really good right now and I hope he keeps it up. I also hope Gareth Southgate do not follow Roy Hodgson, by letting Kane take corners.
