Why Bitcoin Price Predictions for 2016 Range as High as $1200?

I hope that the value of the Bitcoin is going to be $1200 soon because I really want to sell some of my Bitcoin to make some extra money.
It has been a while sins the last time that I have made some money with Bitcoin.

It's mind boggling how easy people assume we will reach a new all time high just because the price has gone up to over $600....

we are expecting it for last few months and not for today when the price is above 600$. if we study of the bitcoin increasing trend it shows that every time it increasing percentage is too high, and as more and more people are investing their money in bitcoin and the demand of bitcoin is increasing from time to time so we can expected that the price of bitcoin will cross 1200$ very soon,

Hope so that it would  definitely reach that price but still we should not forget that we wont know  on what would be the future since  bitcoins price movement  is to volatile and  there are lots of factors that could affect it  which causes  to low its price like hacking incidents, selling more bitcoins, etc.

In my prediction, it is impossible that bitcoin might be reached at $1200 in this year, Because now where we are here no one see any surprise thing would be happened suddenly. But i am sure bitcoin is going to up and at least bitcoin price would be reached at $800, but only in the end of this year, So may be the next year bitcoin price might be changed.

Bitcoin Back to Technical Levels, Expect Huge Rally to $1200 Soon

I think it's because the last big news, the halving. Many people have a big expectation about the price of bitcoin because the bitcoins price is increase up to 2 times because the halving and many people predict it can be $1200 in the end of 2016.

i bet you anything that at least half the people saying $1000, $1200 is great and we will hold and be rich then, blah balah and all those good things, all of them will sell their coins as soon as there is a $100 rise and a slow down.

I don't think $1200 is likely in 2016, we only have what....4 months for that to happen. It's a possibility in 2017 but I just can't see us getting a new ATH this year any way. $800 is a better, more realistic target to hope for by the turn of the year.

4 months likely to reach $1200, you can see the year 2013 when prices reached $1200 even less than 4 months. should it be realistic to achieve, because the development of bitcoin now is much better than the previous year. so let's look at the price movement of each month, whether it is able to achieve the increase in $100/month. if yes $1000 can be reach at the end of the year.

I think it's because the halving. The halving makes a huge increase on the price of bitcoin up to 2x and because of that 2016 is become the year of bitcoin and many people still speculate the price of bitcoin can reach $1200 in 2016 and i'm not sure the price of bitcoin will be $1200 at 2016.

Reason why predictions for 2016 reached to a 1,000 level is simply because someone coined the idea that halving will have a huge effect in Bitcoin rate while the outcome after Bitcoin is not even felt. Whats more remarkable that happened this year is the security breach that hits bitfinex not only onve but twice.

Nobody knows what the price will be next year. I'm sure there are all ranges of predictions from a drop in price to big gain in price. My guess is that it will be an overall steady increase with a few peaks and valleys along the way.

If the price reach 1200 this year, then consider it as a bubble and everyone will be selling, causing the price to come down again to 600 below. Well, you should grab that opportunity to sell but until then it is still time to collect bitcoin and hold. I do not think it can reach that price this year but anything can happen in bitcoin.

i think you should wait some time ans you will see the price of bitcoin above 1200$. i am hopeful that the price of bitcoin will really cross the 1200$ level at the this year or just after starting of the next year.

This was because of the halving that was coming back in the days, the only fact is that it never unwrapped so good so that is a pity, really hoping on such prices.
If this prices will ever come this year I will instantly sell my bitcoins but I do not see this happen this year..

only time will tell so we have to only wait and see what will happen but since bitcoin price has reached $1200 before in the history then it is still possible to get there or at least get close to that price sooner or later.

and also bitcoin is worth a lot more that this if it is adopted.

most of the $1200 prediction for bitcoin price comes from hopeless holders who think they will be rich and they say $1200 because it is the only price they have seen before for bitcoin.
but real predictions range from $800 to $4000 and i call real predictions to those that have some real prediction in their comment with some analysis and some work on the charts not a random comment with nothing to offer.
