I am seeking new people to join the ranks of wiki admins.
I don't know how many people we can elevate to the admin status (currently only MagicalTux holds the rank of beuaorocrat and can appoint new admins).
I expect the process of adding new admins to take months.

Still, the process has to start somehow.

If you want to be an admin, or think of someone who will make a good admin, please add him to this wiki entry and post to this thread.

Please, don't pollute this thread or wiki entry with pointless nominations - nominate only worthy candidates.

Please do not pm me, use ron@bitcoin.org.il instead

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Speaking of, ...

the WIki is down at the moment.   Mysql error.

MagicalTux (Kalyhost ?) is still hosting the site.

I believe at one time this was explained as something beneficial because it receives the benefit of having DDoS protections from this hosting affiliation.  (as the BitcoinTalk forum also was hosted there).

I've no idea about the current hosting configuration nor if there are plans for Bitcoin Foundation to take over hosting.

Just wanted to share info as far as how the hosting for how it exists today.

[Edit: It appears the site is getting put on Cloudflare now has been hosted through Cloudflare for some period of time already, apparently.]

[Update: The wiki is back online now.]
