Blockchain.info Receive Payments API - unconfirmed transactions?

I'm trying to use the Blockchain.info Receive Payments API for a project I'm building. Whenever I send a payment through the API, the amount always ends up unconfirmed. I include a 0.0005BTC fee, however two transactions occur (one when I send the BTC to Blockchain, and one when Blockchain forwards the payment). Because Blockchain doesn't include a fee in the second transaction, it ends up unconfirmed. How do I prevent this from happening?
