The question is too open, because people would want to know the specifics of these projects. You should give more detailed information on what kind of projects this would be and who would be managing the money. Would you invest in something, if you do not even know where the money is going?

Yes, I would invest, if I see a proper project plan with goals and evidence that the money would go for the purpose that it was intended, not to someone's pockets. ^hmmm^

It heavily, heavily depends on what the startup is, who the person running it is, what the terms and everything for payment would be, and what the outlook for the startup in the local area would be.

I would be interested in investing in a startup if enough information was being provided, and I would invest partially to make money in repayment and partially to get some people doing more things with their lives that are more meaningful, such as running their own business.

How much of my time and money? Again, it depends. I likely wouldn't be investing much time into it, partially due to location restraints.

Will Bitcoin have much of an impact? Maybe, however I would personally doubt it to be honest. I do not believe there are enough people connected to the internet with enough interest existing for people to want to enter into the Bitcoin economy and have it benefit the African economy at large.

I would like to invest in African startups but you should come up with deep details and bring a concrete plan about a startup.

Since not large number of people using bitcoins in Africa, there are highest chances of growth and investors will get good returns if business plans executed properly in good conditions.

It will require a huge budget because  a business will have to build everything from basics and building awareness of bitcoin is major task.

Sorry but I will not invest in any African bitcoin startup.  Not being a racist but I have joined many new altcoins that gives like a hundred thousand coins at first that you can buy for a little amount of bitcoin.  And after the launching date, you will see how low its price and you have to again spend some of your bitcoin to vote for it to have a good value.  Then, you will just found out that its developer is nowhere to be found.  Just came from my experience.

I probably would not. But just out of curiosity, what African countries would the startup(s) be serving? More developed African countries like South Africa, Morocco or Egypt for example? Or the lesser developed/less stable African countries? Again, just curious.

I do not invest into remote projects with random partners.
But definitely this community will stand up to help and guide you if you have enough reasons like spreading out bitcoins across African continent countries.
Recent devaluation of Zimbabwe currency is an example where bitcoin could be a permanent solutions. Find opportunities. Innovate solutions.

It's a question that's pretty complicated. But if I see from Africa, I see the potential that Africa will have a huge impact to the growth of the bitcoin. because I see that in Africa is still very little service provider deals super fast, lightweight, inexpensive, and also profitable. But I have not yet dared to provide investment in Africa, because I still need funds to take care of something more important things

An investment in Africa would only be possible in countries with a stable political environment.
So, no country from middle Africa, because there bribery and and selfenrichment of the officilas are just too high.
Southafrica would be a possible solution for making the first steps.
In general I think there is a lot of potential for cryptocurrencies in Africa.

The investment would need to be made through a trusted intermediary who the investor could trust.  no one in their right mind would just invest in any business without a solid business plan wither its in africa, asia or europe

the community would support LEGIT projects where investors can do due diligence to ensure its not a shell company using a POBox, that does not even have any legit assets to freeze should the business "get hacked"(go bankrupt)

as for the OP managing it. i think that wont ever happen, for reasons he knows
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1590472.msg15991794#msg15991794

but one tip for him..
"mining contracts".... in africa.. sorry that just wont work

Actually without knowing the actual project plans it will be hard for anyone to give their decision, just looking at country investor will not get convinced. Project need to give full specifications of what they will be doing and what are the calculated possible return annually or monthly basis. I think gathering local investment is easier for both owner and investors if the required seed money is not that big.

What countries of Africa? Are you helping them or just making money? Well, the kind of projects are so superficial ideas, maybe you can put some info.
I think the blockchain can help a lot more than bitcoin, think about that.

people are hesitating to invest even in legit things, now you are here each time with a new topic and looking for some kind of investment in your imaginary business.

last time you said mining farm and

Me and my team are on a project that will be completed next week by the Grace of God
Picture of the mining farm will be provided and you can schedule a private visit to the mining farm location to see for yourself

failed to provide any picture, and this was from last month.

you and your imaginary team should provide valid proof of your imaginary startup first.

This!

On my part a decision to invest in a startup is not primarily dependent on where the startup is located but whether the startup has a credible business model for the location it operates in and whether it is likely to be a scam or not. I general, the more remote the location and the less verifiable business claims are the less likely it will be an investment case.

The vast majority of "investment" projects circulated around this forum are either scam or lead by naive amateurs with zero chance of success. In fact, I have yet to see a project that qualifies as a suitable investment with a positive risk/reward-ratio. Most project leaders don't even provide a qualified business plan with a calculation of costs that is able to justify that investment is needed at all.

The thread opener's project seems to be no different.

wut?

my point is that there hasn't been any type of bitcoin startup that's generated any return and that's with the best people, best funding and in first world countries.

I Africa for bitcoin makes more sense than first world countries. but I still don't think anyone's gonna get anywhere near their money back let alone any profit.

I Africa for bitcoin makes more sense than first world countries. but I still don't think anyone's gonna get anywhere near their money back let alone any profit.

there are many legit businesses that can make returns.
but for the OP after reading his previous posts and attempts to gather funding,
i think that this is not the topic to give him idea's to scheme(i said scheme not the other similar sounding word) the community. the OP doesnt seem interested in actually running a business legit business that gives returns.
but more so running a funding round .. and then... just running

so lets not help him out by telling him anything legit, or he will just use it later to 'scheme' people by pretending his 'scheme' is just as legit

Is this like when you get a phone call from a 'Nigerian Businessman' telling you that you have won the lottery & he just needs your bank details & DOB to send you the money?

In answer to the OP, no I wouldn't like to invest in any risky African start ups.
