How do I private message someone?

I think you need to make 5 posts here in the Newbies forum before you can venture elsewhere.

when you have 5 posts you can click on the little white balloon thingie on the persons profile and then you can send a private message, easy enough

This is true, but you only need 1 post before you can PM someone.
