After those couple of months came eth launch. Q4 of 2015 was the desperate season for miners, when eth was dumped to $0.50 one really needed balls of steel to mine and hold. Some lonely gems here and there like spr nethash dropping below 100MH. Q1 of 2016... well most of you know what happened, gold rush vol 3.

I disagree : I increase my earnings by 10% with dualmining : $40 / month with ETH + $4 with sia, and I have the same hashrate in dual mining or solo mining

yes with sia, not with decred, and $4 is in any case a joke unless you have a really big farm

Yeah SIA is 10% more profit so like 10 cents extra with a 280X. However the cards run way too hot so I just disabled dual mining for now.

Hoping for something "good" to come up for GPU miners, as the overall profit through Ethereum/Ethereum Classic mining is going down pretty fast. In just last 1 month, according to my calculation, the profit has been cut off by 15-20%.

Yeah difficulty went up 20%, price stayed the same.

Difficulty went up 41% and profit down 20%  (diff was 72th and now 102 th)

75000 GPUs were added in the last 30 days

But a lot of this growth is likely a response to Zcash mining in the coming days.

I think any coin you can mine and then sell with profit including the cost of mining are the best ones no matter  the name of the coin.

He probably has the wrong settings and is actually mining at half the speed.

Cgminer 3.7.2 need, port not proxy and overclock up to 975 core (1120 mh without overclock)
