Hello,

I'm trying to join the P2Pool mining group but have had some difficulty. If someone could give me some guidance, it would be greatly appreciated.

I do not have a dedicated system.
Bit = 0.8
OS = Win 7 x64
GPU = EVGA 285
Miner = Phoenix 2.0 (it's the only one I have figured out)
If butterflyLab ever does ship. I will probably pick up one.

Bitcoin block space:

1. I now have almost 8gig of block space being used. Is there a way to clean this up? C:\Users\Nate\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin\blocks

2. I avg about 20 connections, is that good?

P2Pool Question:

1. I've had some difficulty with the miner crashing the last few days. It would error out of resources. P2pool and miner run on same system. I know the system itself is fine, I can Mine for MtRed with no issue.
It seems to be running ok now. But would like to understand for future use.

2. LP: new work pushed - I see this message a lot on P2Pool but not when connected to Mt.Red. Is it normal for P2Pool or do I have a wrong setting?

3. They mention about maintain a node. is this just running the p2pool client?

Miner Questions: Would like to try these if possible.

1. CGMiner - I've tried to get this but it looks like you have to download and install 4 different programs? At least this is what I gather from the readme.

2. M0mchil miner - Opens a dos box and closes

3. GUIminer - Works with MT.Red but can't get it to registrar with P2Pool

4. Some of these link to git. What is that?
