There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

The hottest site to play at right now is www.Betcoin.ag, which also has an online casino and sportsbetting. They frequently have hundreds to thousands of players in their online poker room at any given time.

The author lost me there. Also, given that the article is about fairness it would have been nice if he gave any sort of explanation of provably fair.

I'm fairly sure that betting for virtual currency inside of an mmo is not against the law. Regardless, the worst that could ever happen is getting a warning from trion to cease and desist.I'd say go for it. I make bets all the time with my friends in game. What other use for platinum is there?

It's interesting that they mentioned Betcoin being the hottest site right now.  Amidst all the controversy surrounding Betcoin's slots provider, at the end of the day Betcoin has put in some of the hardest work in terms of both innovations and customer support.  Sure they can be understaffed sometimes and not cater to you in timely fashion, but you have to understand that this site is currently at its infant stages.

Take this with a grain of salt because I'm an affiliate that can offer the best rakeback in all of online poker at 58-133%, but being a reasonable and fair person I can say that the negativity surrounding Betcoin which was overly exaggerated and dramatized  by a few users and their alternates has been quite unfair.

Just-Dice and Betcoin.ag have been chosen to be examples of good gambling powered services by the author of that article? Well... It might been worse.

I like that this article is in general for its very optimistic view of cryptocurrency gambling. We need more positive texts in standard mass media, it could bring Bitcoin more users.

Don't let Xiao fool you.
The slot provider was just one more thing on the list that never stops growing.

Don't forget about the BBJP (when it didn;t exist) that they accidentally collected over 10 BTC, The cheaters in the no-cheater freeroll, the overcharging rake then lying about it, the leak of players login info,The black screen during the million dollar tourneys for Betcoin players only (and no support on Sundays), the no-notice raise to no-cap for HU cash tables, the ridiculous lies and faked convos they've posted...

oh and this:

Poor dooglus.

Article was interesting in that it exists.  The writer didn't seem very knowledgeable, though.

What is the source of this photo? It's interesting but I'd like to know who made it.

Very true, but how would you feel if you won the jackpot of a lifetime, and they didn't pay you? It would be more crushing than not winning at all IMO. While this might not happen to every user, and the majority who gamble at betcoin are probably fine, it is an issue.

I'm also surprised they did not mention primedice, which is very well known in the bitcoin community.

I admit the Jackpot issue with Betsoft is something that I cannot defend them on.  It was unreasonable because the rules did not state free spins do not count towards the jackpot, and they paid the price for it.  But way before that every issue had a clear explanation and the people were compensated and taken care of to a degree that was more than satisfactory, yet everything was still blown out of proportion by Twitchy and his comrades (if they even exist).
