I would stay away from Silk Road.  Sounds lile a really bad idea.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Anytime you send something through the mail it may get caught. Especially international orders as customs takes a closer look then the regular post office. But most the time if the size is reasonable for personal use then they will just confiscate it. Also they may or may not send a letter of seizure. If you get said letter do not reply to it just toss it and take it as a loss.

Word from Silk Road admin that site will be returning tonight!  Get em bitcoins while their cheap!!!!  here we go again! YEE HAW!!!

That looks more like a desparate attempt to stop Bitcoin price drop than any real info about SR...
