Bitcoin might not be in the president's list of important matters at present, but it will be in 2024, two elections from now. Digital currencies would have grown wings by then.

It's very interesting question for Americans, but it's also good question for bitcoins user, cause currency can become legal there very very soon.

I just looked a little bit around, and from the first few articles I could find, Clinton would support bitcoin and the blockchain technology. But a trump election might boost the price even more, not because of his support to bitcoin but more because of the way he would change foreign and economic politics. What he actually thinks about bitcoin I could not find out. But since a lot of mining farms are in China and his statements about China were not too friendly, I would not expect much support from his side.

I don't see how either party will support or back Bitcoin. Last year I remember Rick Perry being in support for Bitcoin by actually mentioning about it, but I don't see either Clinton or Trump being in favor of it unless they officially tell it themselves that it's beneficial for all. I hope Bitcoin is considered as a legal form of currency by whomever elected to be President.

I have read in the news if trump will support bitcoin but i don't know what he say right or not or maybe this is only for campaign.
I hope so, if trump will support bitcoin after he wins the president campaign, bitcoin will go to the moon, and we love him more.

I think trump is more in side of bitcoin and may lossen law against bitcoin and he may also invest some of his coins in bitcoin. Clinton seems really in middle of lots of loads so she may barely know even about bitcoin.

Wise up, Clinton is all for what suits the banks, and bitcoin def does not suit the banks. Trump on the other hand seems to care about individual liberty

form the rumour, it said that Hillary is going to support bitcoin , however for me its just a politic way to get support, i do believe if the government support the coin it will become a problem, for sure the government will want to tax bitcoin earning as income, so i dont see any advantage will come out from the government support

This might be better off the politics section, but it's kind of inbetween, so I guess it works. I honestly don't think either of the candidates will support bitcoin, as most people just view it as a risky investment, and something that is hacked regularly and is unreliable. I'd like to see a presidential candidate support it, though.

When you look the situation at the first glance it seems thar Trump would be more likely to back the Bitcoin. He's coming from the business world and probably has the better feeling and way of thinking when it comes to things like Bitcoin. On the other hand Clinton seems to be more rational, maybe more aware now embracing Bitcoin would be a wise thing to do. But in reality Bitcoin is not important issue for neither of them because it is not in the political focus at the moment.

If digital currencies don't have wings within a possible 8 year term of the next sitting U.S. president then I would be a bit worried about the future. The only way I see this happening though is if we are still floating Bitcoin with altcoin pump and dump fights and hacking exchanges. All depends on how the community matures. digital currencies are doing well and there is nothing to worry about,. they are all becoming more and more popular. well mainly bitcoin and in 8 years bitcoin will be on top of all the currencies. also pump and dump of altcoins and hacking and tornado in some other country has nothing to do with the future of them.

i think not. bitcoin has some criminal fame...like it's used to buy arms and drugs..so it's PR risk
Bitcoin are using in dark net or in the dark web they using bitcoin to do illegal things or activities either because if they gonna use bitcoin as a payment it can hide their identities as human and it will keep your privary safe or locked . and they can use bitcoin for illegal activities and buying drugs something like that.

Clinton would never bother with Bitcoin. She's a complete moron when it comes to the 21st century technology. I'm not sure if it's her age or her basic incompetence. She has millions funnel to her and her husband in speaking fees, she's fine on her financials and doesn't Bitcoin.

Hmmm... I am doubt about their statement will back and support bitcoin (no one from them), because they are politician who want wins on presidential election and i think they don't have much time for back and support bitcoin. But it is just my opinion and analysis.

bitcoin doesn't need backing from anyone. and no president will back bitcoin any time soon with the current situation they have. they do not like bitcoin because it is decentralized and will prevent the government from having the total control over money and printing it. and if you hear some of them talk about bitcoin, pay more attention to what they say and you can easily see that they are not talking about "bitcoin" but instead they are talking about "blockchain" and using it for themselves to make their own altcoin

Um, declaring yourself all in with Bitcoin might gain you a few hundred votes and alienate all the millions who still think it's a ponzi. The libertarian fella is accepting it. Expect nothing but silence from the big dogs.

I don't know what they will really do, but I think both of them have a team of professionals who can understand the benefits of supporting Bitcoin. I may be wrong because I have never been to the USA but from what I know this country is going in the right direction, slowly but steadily. Regardless of who will win the elections they will support Bitcoin sooner or later.
