Hello everyone, I'm new here. As the title suggests I am from Venezuela, a socialist country from south america and if ever you wondered how it would be to live here, I can tell you my personal experience.

First let me introduce myself. My name is Jorge, I'm an engineering student from one of the leading universities in this country, this university is public and the cost to study here is only $0,001 a year (yes these are US dollars). Any of you might think that's great but it's the opposite, as is an autonomous university and not aligned with socialist thought the government does not give enough resources to function properly. Basically here if you do not think like them, you are the enemy. Speaking of ridiculous numbers, let me explain how are wages here. The minimum wage in this country is about $22 a month working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. That amounts to 13 cents per hour (yes you can laugh now) that would be normal if you you could buy food for the same price it costs my university annually but to give you an example, a Big Mac with fries and soda cost $4 (yes only one) and then I think we're understanding now. Here there is no freedom of expression, if you are an influential person and speak against the government you are persecuted, if you want to buy a car or a house you have to work continuously for well over 100 years to aspire to the cheapest of the market, people spend hours and days queuing up to buy food, Caracas (which is where I live) is the most violent city in the world with the highest rate of murder and robbery. Me for example, I've been robbed twice while returning to my house with a gun to my head.

It is for all these reasons I have decided to travel to another country to finish my studies and have a better life but there is a problem, I need money for this and I have not enough. If someone wants to help me or just go and leave a comment of support is more than welcome.

I made a basic page with raspberry pi in which I put my information, if someone wants to visit it and help me thank you very much. I can also do some work they need or just provide online math classes. Anything that allows me to achieve my goal.

Thanks for your time.

This is my page if you want to help me.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.
