I am looking to borrow 0.05BTC until this Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

The holiday kind of screwed me up this week and I a bit short.

I am unsure about collateral but I have this username and I have two domain names?

Also unsure what would be a fair interest rate so I thought I would post and see who responds.

I would need the bitcoin within 24 hours of this posting.

Any questions please ask.

Thanks

I'll fund a 0.05BTC loan with 0.0525BTC repayment. No collateral needed, but you need to sign a message from a old posted address stating you weren't hacked.

Unsure how or if I can do that. I have seen that mentioned in the past but I don't have a specific bitcoin address. When I post like a raffle or auction here I usually have a new bitcoin address created for the bitcoin to be deposited into like my coinbase or circle or btcpop account.

That is a very fair offer with interest though so I am hoping we can figure something out to prove it is me and I have not been hacked.

Do you have outside contact with minerjones or another trusted member? If you can get them to confirm you are the real you, that would work.

I know minerjones from the forum and he can probably confirm its me by some physical coins I sent him to get graded.

No one else would know which coins I sent him to be graded so that perhaps would confirm its really me?

Not really sure about that. You can sign messages from coinbase AFAIK, so could you check of these addresses are from coinbase?

Or that actually might not work because if I was hacked they would have access to past messages with the coins in them.

I know when I send him stuff in the mail he uses privnote for his name and address so I could verify that info with him to prove its me through him?

I just logged into my coinbase account and clicked on primary wallet address and it does not match any of those.

This was the last address I used for coinbase I guess to accept payments for a raffle back in June.

1K4MDT6YwDpc7sFXa6zLxK8auE3jxenAGE

I could maybe post a screenshot of my coinbase account?

Screenshots can be easily edited. Do you still have control of that address? If so, I can fund the loan there without needing a signed message.

Each account on Coinbase is a collection of bitcoin addresses. New bitcoin addresses are automatically generated for each payment on Coinbase and stay associated with your account forever (so it is safe to reuse them).

That's what it says in the advanced sections settings.

Could you send a very small amount to the 1K4MDT6YwDpc7sFXa6zLxK8auE3jxenAGE address to make sure it will work?

Sent 0.001BTC via NitrogenSports, so it might take a few minutes for it to be processed. Probably will work though.

Could you check this help post on coinbase and see if you can get a message signed?

Not sure what you mean by unsure it's posting the signature, but bascially, the signature field should change and you just have to copy the signature and message and post it here. Anyway, Nitrogen seems to be slow today with withdraws :/ Sorry for the inconvenience. 5 messages/hour is probably some dumb coinbase limit.

Thanks for being so patient with me with this.

Ok so I went into coinbase followed the instructions and posted "hi?" in the message field. Then underneath there is a signature with a bunch of letters and numbers.

I have successfully verified the message. It is a vague message signed, so don't do that in the future (good to put the date and why your signing the message), but since I don't think that signature was ever posted before, I'll fund the loan. Post an address and I'll fund it. Mind signing the message

I copied and pasted what you posted but did add a period at the end so not sure if that matters?

Also I see a pending deposit on coinbase so if you want to send to the 1K4MDT6YwDpc7sFXa6zLxK8auE3jxenAGE address that will work for me.

Thanks again

Also I see a pending deposit on coinbase so if you want to send to the 1K4MDT6YwDpc7sFXa6zLxK8auE3jxenAGE address that will work for me.

Thanks again
Thanks for being patient too. Sending in ~1 minute with Electrum this time (no more slow withdraws!). Will edit this post with the tx and repayment address once I send it.

Mind signing the message

sometime, when an hour has passed?

Oh cool signing messages is easy.

Today is September 10, 2016. I am taking a 0.05 BTC loan from DarkStar_ on bitcointalk. This is to prove I am not hacked.

I copied and pasted what you posted but did add a period at the end so not sure if that matters?

Also I see a pending deposit on coinbase so if you want to send to the 1K4MDT6YwDpc7sFXa6zLxK8auE3jxenAGE address that will work for me.

Thanks again

Payment sent off for the loan and I would like to say thanks again for helping me out.

https://blockchain.info/tx/a0075976721cb481a547a338325a0afc31373449705d4847fe6e894293e1263e

I will be posting here in another thread for another loan probably sometime this week.

It will be a larger loan of about 0.8BTC but I can send silver collateral or bitcoin collateral to cover 100% of the loan to someone to hold in escrow.

Thanks again
