Actual 2FA depends on third services like the popular Google 2FA.

What's wrong with Google? Nothing, but you have to trust Google, which can be hacked causing damage to your account and in the worst cases the loss of your coins on a exchange. Also you, as web site or user, have to lean on a third service.
