i think it is up to you, if it was really needed for you and you think that you have taken a right decision then ok no problem but you should invest the amount in some profitable activity and not to waste it.

At the start of this year when bitcoin was about $400 AUD, I bought a mechanical keyboard (Corsair K70) with my bitcoin, for fun. Then recently the price hit $1080 AUD. I was furious. My $200 keyboard was now worth double the market value... sigh.

We would somehow regret  in the end  when we find that  bitcoin price goes  up suddenly but  the  right thing  that we shouldnt  regret  because  we benefit ourselves  when we  sell our bitcoin on  a cheaper price compare to the current  price. As long  you bought somethings important to you  theres nothing to regret about.

Its not actually a waste when you  bought  something which is  beneficial to you and there nothing to  regret because  bitcoins price  is moving and   its normal when 1 day  it would  change  since  yesterdays price. Having  investments  would be   very good  because  you could  able to make profits with  your  investments.

I sold almost all my coins today for about 200 USD (that's what I had in my electrum wallet) and have very few coins sitting on my hardware wallet. I want to build a medium-high end gaming PC and this money is need for me to buy it. Did I do wrong that I sold a high amount of bitcoins about 0.35 to achieve my goal ? I am also happy that I am near fulfilling my goal but also sad as maybe the price of bitcoin skyrockets soon after I did this.

What ever I am the person who wants to achieve my goals no matter the cost so f it whatever the case with the price of bitcoin.
If you already sold your bitcoin just to fulfill your dream thats a very amazing decision you ever made you made it right selling coins for your dream gaming computer is not a big deal we all have dream and we still work hard for it to achieve it and if you really wanted it go for it follow what makes us happy right

I agree that it is up to the person who has the money/bitcoin to spend it to wherever he wants.  If he has the right reason to buy that stuff or to spend his coin to satisfy his needs, then it is right.  The wrong is suppressing you just to ride the trend of the world.    Besides he can use is rig to earn more bitcoin.

But he is fails to get some profit in the future right. If he holds that bitcoin now In future price will raise upto 1000$ plus in the end of the year or on next year. To say frankly he just missed as well including he achieved his goal.

That's right. Even if you fail in this endeavour there are and will be many more opportunities. All you need to do is to have patience and believe in your self
With bitcoin you can be sure there will come many more chances.

Patience and  believing on bitcoin   would be the best thing   and as you said  many chances  and opportunities  would  be still there . As long  you are able to achieve  you  dreams  on buying into something  even though not on the correct time  even on depending  on bitcoins price.

I sold around 2 BTC when it's price was around $200.

Am I happy?
Of course, I am happy. The asset I had helped me to contain the bad situation in which I got stuck.

Am I regret now?
Never. And never will. The asset/money you have which sits idle without fulfilling or helping you is not Good. It helped you to achieve your goal. You're pushing forward. That's good, in fact, that's great.

Bitcoin is nothing but another currency. You must use it whenever you need.

What if the price of bitcoin raises? Never mind that. It always increases or decreases.

You sold something to buy something else that you need more in this moment, you did it what you thought its best for you, never regret for you choices. I`m in different situation from you, I have good lap top and for now I don't need to worry about other things, so I will keep my coins, gamble with them and other things, but in the moment when I need to buy something I will sell them and do what I think its best for me, no matter what price it is in that moment. When man got a need he got a need, he find a way to finish it, one way or another, never regret for choices you made.
If you work hard, you will make that amount of money soon I believe.

i like the way you think.
i have also sold some bitcoin at lower prices (not exactly at $200 but back in those days) and i never regret it but i am not happy about it either.

i am not unhappy because of selling nor because of price, but because i was forced to sell bitcoin while i was hoping to spend bitcoin instead of selling it.

Amazing insight. Simple, yet true words. I was beating myself over selling some BTC during dump period.

Then I pondered a little about this whole situation and I realized that bitcoin is just a money,  it is not the most important thing in life.

As long as you gained something by selling it - in this case it allowed you to fix your problems then it is perfectly fine to sell at any time.

Don't waste your time wondering if BTC will be huge in the future, it may be or not.

You should not regret your sale of your bitcoins.
In doing that then you will not enjoy what you have obtained with them at all. Lips sealed
Price always change and if you worry about that when you sold at the right time then no time would be the right time to sell. Undecided

No you did not do wrong you did right because you made a good decision in your life. Because if you happy for what you are doing then go for what the thing you can do. If the result good i think you can be proud of if the result is bad nothing worry try again until you complete your pc gaming.

You didn't do wrong. You've spent your coin in a way that you really want it and your coins not just went wasted but it goes on everything that you've spent with it like what you've said. You've sold your coins for 200 USD to have an high end PC, you know what I mean? The bitcoins that you've just sold is the PC that you're going to have or you already have, you can see it everyday and every time that you will use it, so you did not do anything wrong. You've just achieve one of your dreams with bitcoins. Smiley
