this is a very interesting thought, since the next Olympics is in japan,i am sure that most of the people will be using one form of crypto currencies.four years is a very long time and it is possible. It will be a benchmark event . innovation is japan's forte ,expect more things from them. Where can we watch that show, if anybody could share a link,i could not find it in youtube as i am writing this .

Knowing Japan they might be able to make it weird enough that it's actually entertaining, and I guess they do have the user base in Japan to make it worthwhile for them to try something like this.

its a great breakthrough from japan, i like the fact that they put crypto currency into a show, its surely going to boost crypto currency name and fame, and they packed it with a great deal of promotion, i think it's a very good thing, we need a lot of advertisement from different country to boost crypto currency reputation

Between the china and Japanese there is some gap in their purpose, I think the Chinese are more forward about the profit caused by their electricity value is so cheap comparing with japan but the forward just purpose of japan is wanna for implementing the digital currency in their daily life.

This is very interesting, I think they will have success in this. Especially this part:
"The creators of BitGirls will offer discounted tokens during the month of October. Additionally, investors will be able to trade the BitGirls currency on the Zaif exchange, starting this November."
I never heard about this zaif exchange, and I`m here for some time, and I`m trying to follow news. Can we trust them? I think I will invest in this coin, this is something that can worth one day, I think they are crazy enough to make something big from this. I think they like shows like this, and maybe this can be good opportunity for making some nice profit. What you think guys?

Is this good or bad for Bitcoin? I think it is bad for Bitcoin, because we are dealing with permissioned Blockchains and counter party tokens and not Bitcoin directly. https://news.bitcoin.com/mijin-combines-permissioned-blockchains-bitcoin-ninjas/The moment when you have to deal with anything other than Bitcoin, you become the competition. Yes, these people will be introduced to Crypto currencies, but not to Bitcoin. ^hmmmmm^

Remember that these projects are launched becaused bitcoin is becoming a large behemoth that is not easily adjusted to impelement new features. The other cryptocurrencies can fill this place, with bitcoin being the backbone of the whole cryptocurrency space.

That's pretty cool! Japan is indeed really pushing Bitcoin, Blockchain and this whole cryptocurrency stuff with tokenization. In terms of technology Japan and it's people often have been ahead of the rest of the world. They just love tech! However in terms of payments they are ver conservative and mostly stick to cash. It will be very interesting to follow the development over there.
