These bitcoin/PayPal search comparisons are interesting - but not really statistically significant. I mean, pretty much everyone already knows what PayPal is: those who google it, or wiki it, are almost certainly doing so for a different reason than those who search on bitcoin.
I'd imagine that for PayPal searches, people are trying to find a contact number to call and complain. Good luck with that...

This. I never bothered checking the wiki entry for PayPal. The most significant figure to compare is how much currency is being held by PayPal vs. how much the currently held amount of BTC is worth.

Of course posts above are right... by most measures PayPal is much larger. Still interesting and funny.

It's extremely easy to find a number for paypal...contact us>call us oh no that was so hard.

It's extremely easy to find a number for paypal...contact us>call us oh no that was so hard. You're right - it's gotten easier. Much easier than a few years ago when it was - literally - impossible to call eBay or PayPal. My point was generic, and poorly expressed.

Wow, that's actually amazing. If Bitcoin became the new Paypal (The way pretty much everyone expects you to pay online), then that'd be awesome!
