I was speaking to another user who has his own bitcoin faucet and he suggested,
Blocking both Russian and Chinese country's ip addresses.
Is this a good idea if so should i block just those two country's?
how do i check what country my traffic comes from?

Block them if you have a bot infestation on your faucet. It is well known that most of faucet abusers are from those two states. You will loose some big chunk of the audience as also those two country's are the most active, user base wise. As Barcode said it is up to you alone. You could investigate your traffic before making a decision, check how and from where bots are coming from, you can block them individually or implement anti bot system. But often the most simple solution is the best one.

For advertisement CPMS/Rates this could be smart, because these country's usually have really low CPM, atleast i know russia does. Ofcourse i don't know what percentage of your site is russian/Chinese, If its lower then 5%, I don't think it is going to be a big deal.
