Well, he says that everyone is beating the drums for certain alts like Ether or Monero, but LTC gets no love (and should according to him). He mentions fundamentals and the gold/silver concept running in our DNA since humanity has used PM's for thousands of years as money (crypto is the next step in that evolution). LTC should be 1/4 the value of BTC according to him and feels it's heavily undervalued. There should be a copper or nickel equivalent 195th the value of Bitcoin. Ethereum had a big presale and that bothers him (since founders have a big stake), so he likes the fair release of LTC.

He has a house supposedly worth $200,000 that he is selling and he will dump all of it into Litecoin. He has bought Litecoin before between $2 and $40. Corruption in our system is rampant at this point and rather than a violent revolution we can have a revolution of ideas and escape the corrupt system. He wants to put his money where his mouth is and support something he believes in.

yaddie yaddie yadda...

... We should jack up the price to $10 before he sells his house to troll him... ROFL jk Smiley

Litecoin... please.

As much as I've been around this forum it's still beyond me while anyone would be interested in LTC.

It's only one of the first copy paste coins with literally zero things to add. It should have been dead long ago.

I feel like LTC's value solely depends on a bunch of idiots - for lack of a better word.

if this is a Chinese guy i would have sold all my possesions and went all in on litecoin they tend to pump litecoin like crazy and make a ridiculous amount of money out of it.

and this happens too often.

but anyways i have been investing in Litecoin for a while now and i can call it my accumulation and i am waiting for that big pump to come.

Buying the dip...

Durrrr... silver provides no additional use case over gold (monetarily), so it's therefore useless.. derp.

But would you really want to live in a house bought with litecoin?  You'd have to paint it pink  and it'd have to be in the shape of a great big phallic grain silo.  And man, if I just sold a house for 200k, there's no way I'd be buying litecoin.  Or at least I would not broadcast that fact on YouTube.

Yea, he didn't think that part out very well... He needs to sell his house and dump the dollars into LTC via Coinbase (GDAX) and THEN announce it via YouTube... hahaha

After a SLOW accumulation (weeks or months).

At least his heart is in the right place Smiley

Unless I'm missing something, the only real advantage LTC has over BTC is the trimmed blockchain size. LTC has a faster block time but I don't see that as a major competitive advantage, and it looks like the markets don't either.

Oh well. Good luck.

Uhh, guys... the LTC dev has NEVER said he wanted to compete with BTC or dominate it... ever (but rather work together). What are you guys scared of? LTC is structured EXACTLY like BTC. The only differentiation is the algo and the factor of 4 (supply, conf times, etc).

If you disagree with the existence of LTC then you are advocating for one currency to rule them all OR you want another coin with millions of features so BTC can steal them away and integrate them... ROFL

Admit that you don't care about fundamentals and only care about profits.

You know why LTC is still alive? Because it's not Bitcoin. That is a feature all in its own!

I foresee a future where we have a handful of successful coins that work together in a synergistic manner.

The arguments of OH LTC is too similar to BTC and will never be successful is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I've been around the crypto community since 2011 and can the newbies guess what people were comparing Bitcoin to in order to wrap their heads around it?Huh DIGITAL GOLD. sooooo Charlie thought HEY, maybe people want DIGITAL SILVER?

That was a design choice from day one. Does physical silver run a chance of dominating/eliminating the gold market? NO... They are a trading pair and digital silver only helps further solidify the idea of digital gold.

To attack digital silver simply tells me that you want a "ONE WORLD ORDER COIN" and I guarantee people that love (the original fundamentals of) BITCOIN will flock to LITECOIN if they see any totalitarian heavy handed approach to changes in the BTC future.

Like with what we saw coming from Vitalik. You gotta save his nest egg though and his early investor buddies from losing their asses in the DAO.. soooooooooooo I guess the whole "CODE IS LAW" thing is a bunch of BULL, but many of you shills won't support ETC because you only care about profit.

Which is fine though because the community will chose sides and the dust can settle. We might not see ETH go down though since the original members own all of it... (awkward)

Reminds me of Ripple... LEL

I wish the guy luck. As for ETH, I'm no fan of people who break contracts, no matter what the reason for breaking the contract is. So, ideologically I support ETC because of this, but I'm not invested in either [or ether Wink].

PUNS! Yesh Smiley
The only positive thing I can draw from this video is that even the most common non tech savvy folk understand the GOLD/SILVER analogy. I noticed MANY Bitcoiners drop the gold analogy after we hit 1200 probably because now they feel even more superior to gold (which I believe it is). However, that is a concept that even the most layman can understand, so to stop referencing it in that way is a mistake.

Many people in the LTC community wanted to drop the silver analogy, but Charlie believes in it. I think the problem for many people is that it's hard to CHEER and GET EXCITED to be #2 and relish in that position for eternity. WE'RE #2, WE'RE #2, WE'RE #2!... doesn't have the best ring to it... ROFL .... but it's not #2 per se it's left/right punch coming at this shit hole we call a financial system (legacy banking).

It's more exciting to say OOHHHH GUYS MONEGRO is going to DOMINATE BTC and kill it off and we will be #1 in teh dark webz.

or... ETHER smart contracts will replace the entire legal system... RAW RAW RAW... then Rootstock comes out for Bitcoin and then you have an OH SHIT moment... LEL

Openbazzar TOTALLY should have created a BAZZACOIN to make teh millions like Vitalik Smiley
